It does its job as promised. I will consider the paid version, not for the extra features (like automatic watermark adding which could be useful), but mainly to support the development. The free version in its current state already does everything I want. I joined the beta program to see how useful the extra features are.

The problem I have is that when I optimize and convert images to webp with this plugin, they end up loading on my site in the same jpg format as they were originally.New images are saved in a different folder and site images are displayed from the uploads folder itself!It is important to me that images on the site are displayed in webp format

Hi,

I love wpvivid products. I have lifetime to wp-vivid backups.

And i love the compressx plugin too.
The one question i want to ask if this plugin is able to remove the originals jpg and png and only serve avif and webp. The amount of space it can save is huge. For me its almost 1/3 of size. This would also help in backup size of the whole wordpress.

There are a lot of issues that have led me to uninstall in production environment.

It is not able to generate webp files with less weight than jpeg.
Regenerate Thumbs can cause a serious problem if you check the wrong input.
If you choose to save copy of original file, it will not generate the WEBP.

Thanks for trying anyway WP team.

PD: I think it is time to contribute to something that should be CORE for WP.

turns all jpg images to webp without any problem, and I could reduce image size on 30% and meet lightspeed requirements, for new weird and technology usage. PNG images gets black background instead the normal transparency, so I turned off this option.

WebP image support is still unavailable with the WP User Frontend.

According to Google itself: “WebP is a modern image format that provides superior lossless and lossy compression for images on the web.”

Would you be so kind to add WebP image support with the WP User Frontend?

Litespeed not serving images in .webp format

I have enabled Image WebP Replacement and WebP for Extra srcset in the LiteSpeed Cache plugin, but my site is still not serving images in WebP format. All images in my media gallery have been optimized and pulled.

How can I resolve this? Kindly assist.

How can I disable the automatic creation of WebP images when a page with a featured image is displayed?
If an image is deleted, is the automatically generated Elementor WebP file also deleted?
When will AVIF support be available?
