I really like this site: https://www.buffalocartridge.com/ and want to create something similar. Is this possible to do with WordPress? Any theme ideas?
Thanks!
I am a licensed artist who specializes in western cowgirl art and vintage designs.
I like to blog about art, licensing, and the western lifestyle.
I would love your opinion on my new western art blog, Cowboy’s Sweetheart. After 5 years on typepad (Cowboy’s Sweetheart) I finally bit the bullet and moved to wordpress. I am blown away by all the design & interactive possibilities I now have on WP.
This blog was designed from the Kanata Theme (presently with 10 widgests), & I’m really pleased with the transformation. I worked with a fabulous & affordable designer. I sent her some images from my artwork, as well as a background from one of my digital collages, and asked her to incorporate them into the theme. She also designed my social ‘Wanted’ poster buttons in the sidebar. Boy, did she ‘get’ me.
I wanted visitors to instantly recognize what I’m about – the Wild West. I also wanted to convey that I am capable of other themes, so I added a few images in the footer to suggest my versatility.
The only thing I’d like to add is a neat sidebar gallery (one that allows me to upload pics from my computer). Unfortunately I haven’t been able to find one that suits my needs. There are a number of sidebar galleries by Gopi that I uploaded (they looked so cool on his site), but I every time I attempt to add my own photos, the ‘demo’ pics remain.
If you have a suggestion for a nice sidebar gallery, I’d be thrilled to try it out .
I hope you’ll saddle up and ride on over to: and let me know what you think. Suggestions & criticisms are most welcome.
Thanks in advance!
Deb
]]>The website, blog, database is all set to UTF-8, I’ve triple checked.
In the wp-config.php it does NOT have the collate lines at all, so that’s not it (seems like commenting them out fixes other people’s issues, but those two lines aren’t even here)
We’re using 2.5.1.
Any help is appreciated.

Peeked in the plugin file but couldn’t figure where to change anything and how.
]]>Two other blogs show the same behavior. These characters do not show when a post is displayed. How do they get there and what can I do to prevent them?
]]>I have written some PHP code in single.php, so content can be generated from a database. The headers of the generated posts are written manually in WP Edit Post, while all the text is generated by my code.

My problem is the posts with headers and text containing the special Danish characters. The headers in those posts looks fine in Firefox with Unicode encoding (default), while all the text only looks fine with Western encoding.

Any idea how I can fix that?
Thank you, Mads
