TinyMCE Editor toolbars missing, white on white text

I’m not sure when this started. I hadn’t written in my blog in about a month, and then last weekend I did, and found that my TinyMCE Editor isn’t working.

The toolbars are missing, and the text appears in the editor window as white text on white background.

It looks like this.

I suspected a plugin conflict, as I have several plugins running that add functionality to the stock editor, but even after disabling them and clearing caches, there was no change in appearance.

This is kind of weird, because I know its working in the html side and if I check the inspector it shows text IS there it’s just set to #fff. How do we correct this?

Also for some odd reason the image doesn’t show on the back end after saving.

Edit mode locked in white-on-white text

I’m experiencing the following problem with trying to edit some pages in WordPress:
1. The pages are stuck in a mode where
a. They are locked into Visual, and will not let me toggle to Text.
b. The Visual mode is not showing the Visual version, but is showing the HTML code.
c. The HTML code is whited out. I can see it in blue when I select part of it with the mouse, but, without selection, the entire screen just shows as blank (white characters on white background)
2. The content of the page seems to be OK; i.e., the problem is only with the Edit mode.
3. This problem appears spontaneously (as far as I can tell); if I’m somehow triggering it, I don’t know how.
4. I have had the problem before, and sometimes it also spontaneously goes away. However, I have one page I haven’t been able to edit in more than a month, and the problem recently showed up on another page. (On the most recent one, the problem appeared in the middle of an editing session.)
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Text editor not working, text is white on white

I have tried:
manually reinstalling WP
deactivating all plugins & renaming plugin directory
using default theme
deleting browser cache
adding define('CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS', false ); to the config file, both at the top just below the first line php and below, just before the require once line.

I cannot see the text, as it’s white on white. I can highlight it and of course I see all the html tags as well. There are no editor icons. If I go to my user settings and disable the visual editor, I can see the text but there are of course no icons for the editor. Nothing else changes where I enable the visual editor or not – I cannot edit the publish status, publish date or visibility of any page. I cannot click on the “add media” option-nothing happens. I can click the “update” button.

As others have posted, the front end looks fine. Any other things I can try?

White on white text, no drag-and-drop-widgets, fresh install

Hi, all,

I’ve seen this problem around and tried a number of solutions to no avail, so maybe someone has a fresh perspective? Here are the symptoms:

–can’t drag and drop widgets, nor can I drop down the “Screen Options” menu to change that to accessibility mode (drop-down on the header menus doesn’t work at all although it works fine in the menus on the left).

–if I try to add new pages or posts, any text I type or paste comes out white on white in the text editor boxes.

I’m running WP 3.0.1, and I’m also running Thesis 1.8. According to the web host, the server is Windows 2008. Here’s what I’ve tried so far without luck:
–disabling plugins
–adding the “Use Google Libraries” plugin
–deleting Thesis
–changing to the Default theme

Any other suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
