Sometimes my WordPress site is having loading problems with Firefox. As soon as you click your way through the shop, the page randomly stops loading and you only see a white screen. If you examine the “white pages” you can see that div boxes etc are there, but as I said a completely white page. Before the problem occurred, I installed a plugin, which I deactivated and deleted. Even so, the problem persists. The website works perfectly in Chrome or on the mobile phone (Firefox and Chrome).
I also went back a few months using backups. Unfortunately the problem persisted.
Do you have any idea what it could be?
Thanks and best regards, Lili
So I am running into a problem with WordPress, and I have tried anything in my (beginners) develop skills to try and tackle this problem, but so far no luck so I’m trying it on here.
So I’m building this website for an online radio station, that wants to post their episodes and live streams on Mixcloud but also want to publish them on to there (new) website. Via customization in the theme that I am using, I managed to pull a custom field within a WordPress Post as parameter to trigger the Mixcloud Footer Widget.
And here starts the problem…
The footer widget of Mixcloud needs to be on the whole site so it continues playing while looking throughout the website. Since I have added the scrips of Mixcloud, the first request of the website will load the WordPress page itself, and the footer, also the widget receives the correct parameter/custom field if you click on the image. So that part is working perfectly.
But when I click on another link, the homepage, for example, the footer widget stays loaded and keeps playing (which it should!) but the rest of the site isn’t loading or showing properly. I do see in the source code that the HTML part of the website does load, but it shows as a white page for some reason. This is the script from Mixcloud that I’m using:

I have been told that the script might load before the page itself, but I don’t think that’s the reason why the pages aren’t showing correctly, because like I mentioned before, the source code is fully there, but it isn’t showing correctly.
Things I have tried
– Using a plugin to add the scripts in the footer
– Placing the script into the footer.php of the theme
– Placing the script into the function.php of the theme
– Adding tags to the script so the loading will be done after the whole site is loaded.
If I remove the script, the pages show up as normal, but then I lose full functionality of the thing that I want to accomplish.
Does someone know how to tackle this problem?
It will help me a lot
Best regards,
Casper

using Salient theme
using the newest version of WordPress
using Brackets and FileZilla and Brackets to edit and upload my custom files
It looks like the classic editor doesn’t take the info of the visual composer, although it does this on three very similar other pages (so same plugins, links,… used), and did so until yesterday (I think, at least until Monday).
My wordpress isn’t updated to 5.0.2 . I use visual composer (a plugin) for all my pages, and it works just fine, except for those three pages. I also downloaded “classic editor” plugin, to overwrite any Gutenberg things, but to be fair, this didn’t change anything. I always had the classic editor available.
Help?!
1. If I load homepage (correctly), then I go to another webpage, load it, and return to homepage, it’s slider doesn’t work anymore and shows a white resource instead. It is made with divi-builder
2. If I go to a specific page of best-selling products I can’t see animation of number counter
I wish I can ask for best settings in my case for CSS combine/minify/inline and JS because I’ve tried almost every possible configuration. My only last solution would be disable plugin and caching. I wish to use all settings, instead
specifid advanced settings in builder say that it can:
minify and combine css itself
minify and combine js itself
serve files as static resource

Also with this, my pages no longer display on my website(when it was working previously) When I type my website in, it comes up with a blank white page. I’m actually beginning to suspect that my trying to upload photos, and this new problem are linked(I tried to upload pictures approx. 2 weeks ago, and that’s when the website stopped showing). No idea how to fix! If you want to see the page my website is www.saladsgalore.com.au
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated! Happy Belated Easter!
So I deactivated and uninstalle Huge It Gallery and everything came back.
I tried one more, Envira Lite, went through same process and same thing, except this one did same thing as NextGen, just blanked out the page I put shortcode for gallery in, not entire site like Huge It did.
I was finally able to install and use NextGen Gallery, but I’d really prefer not to as I’m not a huge fan of NextGen, but at the moment it seems to be my only option. Any suggestions as to what the issue is with the other 2 gallery plugins I tried?
I did the “easy” activate, pushed the test button, and kaflooey, the entire site was gone. Just white pages, including the WordPress dashboard, so I could not deactivate Super Cache.
I had to take the Super Cache plugin out manually via FTP (thanks for the instructions on that, BTW!), and edit the wp-config file to remove the Super Cache database call.
What I did not have to change was the htaccess file. Might the problem have been that the htaccess file did not get rewritten as needed? I might be willing to try again if I had the code the htaccess file needs to enter it manually.

I’ve been having problems with my site. I’m not a coder so I’ve been hiring people to help me with this issue. I had a site with some pages on it and decided to move some of the pages over to a new domain. I had my developer do this. He ended up copying the entire site over not just the pages I wanted. Which is fine I guess but just added it for info maybe it’s related to my issue.
So I had everything copied over to my new site and weird things started happening. I’d try to access the wp-admin login page and it would be a blank white screen. Then I’d contact the developer and he supposedly did something that fixed it.
This happened a couple other times where I didn’t contact the developer and within a day I was able to login in. The same thing will happen with pages on the dashboard. I just tried to access my plugins page and checkout page and I get a blank white screen.
I’m not sure what’s going on or what’s causing this. Bluehost is my server. I don’t know if it’s a server issue or my WP backend having an issue. But I’ve went through several developers and feel like I’m not making any progress and I need to get this site working.
Anyone else experiencing problems like this? Any idea what it could be?
Thanks,
Mike
