Hi, I am migrating from wordpress.com and am setting up a selz widget on my sidebar in pachyderm. I am completely self taught and have managed today to work out how to change the colours on my site using css. However anything else at this stage regarding css I feel is way beyond me. I need to widen my sidebar as it is ridiculously narrow and my image for the selz widget isn’t fitting in it. Can someone help me? Site is www.soulsisterwisdom.com

I’m trying to widen my side bar so that the ads are not cut off. I’ve tried adding
#sidebar-right .widget {
margin: 0;
width: 305px;
}

to my custom CSS and it hasn’t worked. Any other suggestions?

Hello,

First, I’m loving the theme. Thanks and keep up the good work.

Here’s my issue: I added a facebook widget to the sidebar. Facebook widget minimum size is like 292 pixels. This is not fitting in my sidebar – it overlaps with my site’s background image. How can I widen my sidebar slightly to allow the facebook widget to fit properly?

I’ve already got a child theme set up, so if you are able, I would love instructions on exactly how to modify my child theme to achieve what I’m hoping to do.

I added in a new email sign up form with a captcha because I’m been getting spammed but the sidebar isn’t wide enough to read it. Can anyone give me step by step instructions on how to do this?

Hi! I am helping my boss with his wordpress website. He is unhappy about the narrowness of his sidebar, which is squeezing his facebook Like widget and making his stream (latest posts) part of the box be one word wide (www.jimmharrison.com) I can see that his tiny face pic is what is causing the streaming text to be almost centered in the box. I don’t know how to get rid of that so I am wondering about changing the widget or changing the width of the sidebar? It is currently 180 but I need 300 for the widget to really display properly.

Any ideas? I am also wondering where else I could put this widget on his website? Maybe the sidebar is too skinny and it just needs a new place. Where else could I put it?

Hi, I am trying to widen the sidebar but I am not having much luck messing with the stylesheet.
