Hi my site widgets disappeared I get the following under widgets in the customization menu

“There are no widget areas currently rendered in the preview. Navigate in the preview to a template that makes use of a widget area in order to access its widgets here.”

I have tried all the templates with this theme and still cannot get the widgets working again

What can I do

Problem when Deactivating this Plugin

Hello. I am having a major problem with my site whenever I try to deactivate this plugin. Everything on my site works fine while the plugin is active, but as soon as I deactivate it it makes part of my site disappear.

For example, the sidebar area with the widgets disappears from my site and is just an empty space with the background of my site showing. In addition, everything below an article post disappears (comment area, the footer of my theme).

Please advise what could be causing this issue. I have used many plugins and have been able to activate and deactivate them with no problems, so it is very strange that a plugin that is used for page navigation could completely break parts of my theme like this.

Please let me know. Thank you.

Widgets suddenly gone – updated to 3.9.1 few days ago

I would love to say 3.9.1 is fantastic BUT I just lost all my widgets suddenly today after upgrading a day or so ago on one of my main sites www.CQDX11.com and now getting nervous about all the others.

AND I did not change themes but upgraded my Templatic /Directory /Explore theme a week or so ago.

I have been working on the widgets on the site for a week as the Theme has extensive widget areas to customize the site and have just added an advertising widget with google adsense code copied into it, sourced from another of my websites as I do every day of the week and saved it and selected view site from admin dashboard. The website come up with two widgets in the correct location and one other in the wrong location underneath them in the top bar above the Menu Bar. All the others were gone.

STOP PRESS:- I just thought about this more, and have realised I DID hit the Ctrl KEY and the “Z” Key to remove prior added highlighted code from the last widget I was adding adsense code to!

Could typing those two Keys inside the open widget box have caused the problem somehow!??

I dont intend to repeat the process on another site to see what happens though!

Can anyone explore this possible issue of my disappearing widgets please.

AND tell me how to get them back if that is the cause?

My widgets stopped showing on my blogs

Hi,

Yesterdays suddenly the widgets on my sites stopped showing on the side. They show on the bottom of the page.

Even more interesting is the fact that my hosting provider can see the widgets on the side but people from various IP addresses, may or may not see them, even when using different browsers.

Neither I nor my hosting provider can sort it. The interesting thing is that I have different hosting accounts with the same hosting provider and only this particular account is showing the problem

It dos not seem to be theme related because the same applies to all the themes across within this same account.

As well I noticed that the widget area is somewhat corrupted in a sense there is no orderly alignment of the text windows within the widget area dashboard.

I checked my sites online and they are not infected with malware, the host provider claims there is no malware on the server.

I simply never have seen this in the 5 years I have been online.

Is there anyone who can suggest anything?

The problem persists even when I deactivate all the plugins.

Jetpack disappears after 2.4.2 upgrade

I am not a pro. I am just a guy with a website and every now and then I try to improve things. I use Bluehost.com webhosting for my website and I regularly get notifications about upgrades for the themes, widgets and so on and I implement them with one click. Things usually are pretty smooth.

Yesterday, after upgrading my Jetpack to 2.4.2, I was was putting my Twitter widget into the Showcase sidebar, just to see how it affected the look, and Jetpack just disappeared, along with my Facebook,Soundcloud, Photo Carousel and Twitter widgets.

There is no sign of Jetpack. How do I get it back?

Widgets Option Gone from Dashboard and Site

I went to check out my site today and noticed that all the information and items that were in my footer and sidebar had all disappeared…

I went to my dashboard and where the option to click on “widgets” usually is.. which is under Appearance.. it was gone from there too.

I’ve deactivated the plugins and nothing changed.

I haven’t done anything new to the site in a while either.

I contacted my host and they told me this…

“WordPress is third party application. So, we cannot check the issue with the WordPress dashboard. Its not server related issue. It looks like some settings are missing. Please contact WordPress and check. “

The lady who designed my site has stopped answering too!

Moved site to new host and widgets are gone!!! Please help!!

I’ve moved a site to the live server and the widgets are gone. I was really careful about exporting/importing the db. I’ve even gone into the old and new db’s and compared the widget data.

Can anyone help?

Please Help! My sidebar moved !?!

I am hoping someone can help me!
Last night when I published the articles for our magazine, the right sidebar with all the widgets, moved to the middle column!! And I don’t know how to get it back??

When you open an article, the sidbar is back on the right, but on the homepage (the one everyone sees) it is moved??

Also In IE I am getting an error that says line:2 char:3148 error: ‘childNodes.0.nodeValue’ is null or not an object ??? Does anyone know how to fix this also???
