]]>Don’t know if you are still supporting this plugin (or the Pro vesion) – I hope so since I use it quite extensively – problem has just come up – vis:
– The ‘Skype Status’ icon does not signify correctly under Windows 8 (any browser)
– It seems that this is because Microsoft have REMOVED the Skype privacy option to ‘Allow my status to be shown on the web’ from their latest version of Skype for Win8.
Do you/does anyone know of a fix/workaround for this?
Thanks for any feedback.

]]>I downloaded and installed the newest version of MySQL (5.5.29), installed the newest version of XAMP and have WordPress waiting.
My problem: I cannot access my MySQL database via https://localhost/xampp/index.php and then selecting phpAdmin to set up the database for access by WordPress.
That’s the error message I get no matter what account/PW or settings in config.inc.php I use:
#1045 – Access denied for user ‘root’@’localhost’ (using password: YES)
phpMyAdmin tried to connect to the MySQL server, and the server rejected the connection. You should check the host, username and password in your configuration and make sure that they correspond to the information given by the administrator of the MySQL server.
W/o that access to MySQL via the XAMP/phpAdmin I am stuck.
Why is MySQL refusing access?
Is there another way to get WordPress running?
I hope somebody has a solution for this puzzle?!
]]>Well I well and truely killed off my testbed website (running on WAMP) yesterday, so thinks I, “I’ll uninstall everything (WP & Wamp), reinstall everything (WP, Wamp, Theme), and upload a copy of my live site”.
As the title suggests, having gone through the motions of uninstalling Wamp, deleting the remaining files, downloading the ‘Visual C++ 2010 SP1 Redistributable Package’, installing Wamp (Wampserver (64 bits & PHP 5.3) 2.2E), unzipping the WP files to …/wamp/www/wordpress, then trying to log into phpmyadmin via the Wamp panel in localhost all I get is “403 – You don’t have permission to access /phpmyadmin/ on this server.”
Having looked at the Wamp forum someone else is having the same problem but there are no replies to the initial posting.
Anyone got any ideas??
Thanks in advance!
Chris
