my operation system is windows server 2003
run iis[v4] and dns service,
after that i install xampp
with this tools
i need to know how to set wordpress get public ip and seen from other networks
and after that i like to learn how to have multiple website on this server..

i ran web pi, and it didnt work in my windows server

Hi,

I would like to know how to install wordpress in windows server 2003, modify his database and add a domain to this page.
I’ve got a pc with a 4gb ram, a processor Core 2 Duo 2.2 GHz and a nvidia graphic memory of 2gb.
Until now i’ve installed windows server 2003 on virtual box assigning 2 gb ram and 8 gb of the hard drive.
I have successfully installed mysql and php using Web Platform Installer, but when I try to install wordpress it freezes in the installation part and it doesn’t go on to the next step.

Hello,
I have been forced to use wordpress on a windows server 2003, IIS6 (not my choice).
Being a windows server, .htaccess files don’t work.
What is the rewrite regex required to make the plugin work on the serverside?
I have found a plugin (isapi-rewriter) which has allowed me to use the wordpress custom permalink structure, and I figured if I can add your regex expression to this I might have a chance of getting the server to load the files correctly

Windows2003 Server Installation

I’m having issues when installing WordPress 2.9.1 on a Windows 2003 Server. It installed and I can see the index page but there is no CSS being displayed. No images. And I get a ‘Page Cannot Be Displayed’ error when trying to view from a different PC. You can view the page just fine and see the comments and edit them from the server machine but not from a client.

This is being used as an internal blog. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Redirect When Adding Image

I am running WordPress 2.7.1 on Windows Server 2003 using IIS with PHP 5.2.1.

Whenever I am adding/editing a post or page and attempt to add any type of media using the insert “media” buttons I am immediately redirected to the homepage of my site.

Any thoughts?

Anyone Get WP to Run On IIS 6.0?

I am sure others have encountered and overcome this problem. I have installed and verified the installation for PHP 5.2.9-2 and MySql 5.0.67 and both are installed correctly. I have supplied the correct values in the wp-config.php file. I have checked and double checked all of this and am positive that I have it correct.

Now the problem, I browse to https://www.mysite.com/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php and enter the name of my blog, my email address and click the Install WordPress button and I get the following error:

The page cannot be displayed
You have attempted to execute a CGI, ISAPI, or other executable program from a directory that does not allow programs to be executed.

Contact the Web site administrator if you believe this directory should allow execute access.
HTTP Error 403.1 – Forbidden: Execute access is denied.
Internet Information Services (IIS)

So I have used IIS to grant execute access on the wordpress, wp-admin, wp-content and wp-includes folders and still get the same error. Being stubborn I have not yet given up so I set the ntfs privileges to allow shared web access with execute privleges for the previously mentioned folders.

Still get the sasme freakin error! What am I doing wrong? I am sure many others have successfully installed and configured WordPress on Windows Server 2003 and IIS 6.0.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I have a problem. I need to install a blog in my company. The problem I have is that I have a network load balancing environment for my website. Pretty much a Windows Server 2003 environment. Does anyone know how I can install wordpress in this environment?

Alright so I downloaded and copied the folder to my site. I created the MySQL database, edited the config file, and followed all the steps for setup to a “T” so now when I attempt to visit the setup page which is located here: https://www.designconnection.com/blog/wp-admin/install.php it requests a user name and password. On a whim I tried every single user name and password combination I’ve got associated with the server, no prevail. This made me question if I had the IUSR account active and if it had any privileges it did and it does. Then I thought maybe it was something funny with IIS, IIS has the following permissions assigned to the folder: script source access, read, and directory browsing. There is no security requiring a user name and password enable in Plesk either. Please give me a hand, it’ll be greatly appreciated.
