Howdy, I’ve just switched to Worth the Read instead of another plugin I was using. The other plugin also displayed the word count, and although it’s not a deal breaker or necessary, I’m just curious if it’s possible with custom css or something to also display the word count with your plugin? (since the plugin must be using that data anyway to figure out the reading time anyway?)

Hi, I have started using the new Amazon products advertising API on my blog posts but it somehow counts the product code as part of the word count which makes my posts 9000 words in the end. Can you please tell me how to change that?

Information option on top of page no longer appears

I used to have am Information button on top of my p0ages when editing, and it contained the Word count tool, which I use frequently. Now it is not there. I tried a different site of mine, which uses a different theme, and it is missing there as well, so I don’t think for now that it is a theme problem. Did this get removed for some reason? Did it move to a different location? Is there another way I should be getting the word count on my pages?

Word Count is Off in Yoast

HI there, we are using Pods and have a CPT set up. When we use Yoast to optimize the post, the word count is off in Yoast. Yoast seems to think there are only 8 words on this post:

Text length: The text contains 8 words. This is far below the recommended minimum of 300 words.?Add more content.

I thought that the plugin was supposed to rectify this – am I doing something wrong? Maybe I am missing a step? Thank you for your assistance.

Old WP site content reappears in Weglot translation list

After several attempts to exclude deleted or edited content passages from the Weglot translations lists, that content resurfaces in my Weglot translations. I’ve been rigorous in reducing text content (primarily for clarity, but also to keep below the 2,000 word limit).

I’m inexperienced in managing WordPress and I’m wondering if there’s a maintenance task I’m missing that would scrub the WP databse of this old content, but haven’t found anything like that. I have run most of the WP Optimization routines, but no change.

It’s very annoying that this content keeps reappearing in Weglot, even though it’s no longer externally visible on the website.

Should I just delete the current Weglot translation and start afresh (after I’m finished with the current edit list for the website)?

Hi! For a client who’s writing cosmetic treatments I use Pods + Yoast for her SEO. But I am not sure if it’s capable of the word count which Yoast normally provides.

Yoast’s only counting the words in the WP Post editor, not in the fields from Pods which I made with custom post type.

This plugin is simple to install. It does precisely what it is supposed to do. It does not interfere with any other elements.

Its elements can be styled, because they include Cascading Style Sheets classes: p.wc for the word-count element, and p.ttr for the time-to-read element.
