Trying to Migrate an old install (Yes it’s really on WP 2.6)

The plugin installs; but, when I click on manage > Advanced Export, I get the following error “Fatal error: Call to undefined function screen_icon() in /usr/…/wp-content/plugins/advanced-export-for-wp-wpmu/ra-export.php on line 260”

Is there a work around or an older version of the plugin that would work with WordPress 2.6? My friends are desperate…

Can’t insert images – click and nothing happens

Hello, people.

I have a WordPress Blog, and, suddenly, it just stoped alowing me to insert pictures.

When I upload a picture, it goes to the server (I can see it on the FTP), but when I click “Show”, nothing happens. If I click “Gallery”, on top, I can see the list of uploaded pictures, but again if I click “Show”, nothing happens.

Also, there is nothing I can do to the “Insert into Post” button to appear.

Please, I need a solution to this.

Problem with WordPress menu and flash

Hello there,

I am working on a site (www.pearmed.com/). On the homepage I have a flash banner. If you hover over the menu “Health A-Z” (visit site to see what I am talking about) you will notice the menu options hides beneath the flash. Any ideas how I could have the menu display over the flash.

wp_list_pages styling?

How can i get the wp_list_pages to seperate parent and sub pages.

I want it to list it as
main page
– sub page
– sub page
main page 2
– subpage to page 2
– subpage to page 2

insted of just listing them as it does by defualt (example below)
main page
sub page
sub page
main page 2
subpage to page 2
subpage to page 2

Upgrading current WordPress blog

I do not know the steps to resolve upgrading from my current 2.6 platform to a 2.6.5 platform. I did not download WordPress. I simply used the online version to start a blog. Now, I’m being asked to download and install something. I did. I have no idea what to do now.

I do not want to lose any of the data in my blog nor its current format. At the same time, my IP host is telling me that I am running an outdated WordPress platform and need to upgrade.

Can anyone show me where to find specific instructions that pertain to my circumstances?

I recently installed wordpress MU & WordPress 2.6 onto my server, but I am wondering how to get it to show more infomation

what i mean is, at the moment when i post, it shows what day it was posted, but I want it to show:

Who posted it:
When They Posted it & Time:

so for example: Posted: Nov 19 2008, 11:03 AM by [insert user]

im not very good with php, so is there an easy way to make this show in wordpress 2.6 & WordPress MU

please help me solve this issue as it is annoying me very much and there is nothing on the internet to help me out.

Image/Video Gallery in WP – What’s best and How-to restrict access/view to Users

Hello,

I am trying to set up a gallery (image and/or video) in my WP blog, pref. on a “page” but I want to be able to restrict access so that you have to be registered and logged in to view it, otherwise you get a different page.

I have Gallery2 and the WPG2 plug-in but I’m not really getting what I want out of that setup just yet…

So first, what is the best way to setup a gallery within WordPress?
And Second, how do I go about restricting it to logged in users only?

double posts display side, but not admin side

i’ve been searching the site for a solution to this, but only see more people with the same problem and not a fix.

details:

i’m hosted at media temple (and contacted them, they said that it’s a “wordpress issue” and “not their issue”..)
site address: tracyapps.org (double posts can be seen at tracyapps.org/design-portfolio
i *just* upgraded to the most recent version of WP (2.6.2)
posts show double on display side, but there are only one of each post in the admin/manage area.
when i view each category, i see the posts normally, and *not* “doubled” ( example: tracyapps.org/category/web-design)

this happened out of the blue. i hadn’t done any updates and supposedly, after emailing media temple, “nothing changed on their servers” (or at least that’s what i was told).

is there a simple solution to this?

Sometimes no categories list, most viewed topics list etc appear. While other times it do appear. I have tried it with many themes, but the same problem persists. Here are the screen shots:-

Hello, I’ve installed wordpress 2.6 version. It’s working fine. But whenever I change theme it gives the error “Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_header() in /home/paknewz/public_html/index.php on line 1”. It’s only working with default theme. Please me why issue is being faced by me.
