Hello everyone, I’m currently in the process of transferring a website from WordPress.com to www.ads-software.com, but when I try to import the data of my old website into the new website, some files are not imported and this error is displayed (Failed to import File_name Invalid post type jp_pay_product). Can you tell me how to get rid of it please ? Should I disable the Jetpack plugin of my old website before exporting my data ?

Hello everyone, I’m currently in the process of transferring a website from WordPress.com to www.ads-software.com, but I’ve got a small problem: the theme I’m using (this theme here: https://wordpress.com/theme/beacon/gdrname.wordpress.com) for my website apparently no longer exists. Is there any way of recovering this theme? Or am I doomed to change it?

Hello!

I am transferring my site from .com to .org.
I registered through BlueHost and I am currently waiting for domain approval. When the domain is approved, will it automatically direct to the .org site? I do not know how to access the .org site and import content and my new theme. It keeps directing me to my current .com site. I want to make sure when the domain transfer is complete it is not getting directed to an empty site. I have a site with a lot of traffic and that would not be good for my business.

Anything will help!!

Hi everybody,
I want to move a site that I am working on from wordpress.com to a selfhosted site with the wp software.
The site has a lot of images in galleries.
After I imported the images with the import external images plugin (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/import-external-images/) is it possible to use Nextgen to display these galleries?
I see in the wordpress.com pages that they use codes like:

I have an wordpress.com blog and recently changed to my new self-hosted website (also wordpress). I wanted to tell Google Webmaster Tools to change the adress from maremmageheimtipp.wordpress.com to maremmageheimtipp.com. Webmaster Tools told me that the 301-redirects didn’t work, so I was not able to get my new adress confirmed. Later I realized that Google first redirects from https://maremmageheimtipp.wordpress.com to https://maremmageheimtipp.wordpress.com before finally redirecting to my new domain. I think that’s why Webmaster Tools tell me my old site does not redirect to the new one. What I want to do is change the canonical url from https://… to https://… to avoid the first (unnecessary) redirect. Unfortunately it’s not possible to make these changes in Webmaster Tools … so how can I make them on my (old) wordpress-website?

Importer problems

Desperately trying to move from wordpress.com to www.ads-software.com I have been able to get a new host (blue host) up and running and successfully transferred my domain – tech4agri.com

However in trying to import my .xml file into the new site nothing happens – there is no validation that the files were uploaded successfully and previewing the site results in nothing either. It simply shows the following: Your site is currently displaying a “Coming Soon” page. Once you are ready to launch your site click here.

I can see the media files in the library but the posts do not take effect in the actual website. Please assist…

NB: At first there was an error stating that the upload section of the php.ini has been disabled. This NO longer shows up but I still have no idea what to do.

I have moved my site from WP.com to WP.org and when I google my site the old WP.com site appears and not the new updated WP.org site. Have I missed something? I have been adding pages etc to the .org site and seeing it fine within the .org site (visit site).

Followers not seeing my posts

A couple of months ago I moved from wordpress.com to www.ads-software.com. I paid for the Guided Transfer and all my followers were moved across – that’s what I was told and I can see them in my Site Stats page. I was told that my followers would still be able to see my posts in the Reader but they wouldn’t be able to like or comment from the Reader home page – they’d have to click on the link to go to my website to like or add comments.

Since then however I’ve learned that none of my followers have been getting my post updates at all. They don’t see them in the Reader at all and none of them receive any kind of notification that I’ve published a post. I don’t use more than 15 tags per post so it’s not that.

Help please?

I just transferred (attempting to) my website from wordpress.com to a self-hosted www.ads-software.com site…

however…while the pages are present in the admin dashboard, nothing is showing up on the actual website…

I’d been using the Mood theme on wordpress.com and am wondering if it’s not available for www.ads-software.com?

Am I missing something else?

The website is www.gurpreetkgill.com (but it’s not showing how it’s supposed to).

After some mucking about, I was able to import my wordpress.com blog https://e-strangedblog.com/ over to my www.ads-software.com website https://www.e-stranged.com/blog/. My question is whether my premium pkg comes across (or is necessary) and also about how I redirect my traffic.
