Since updating to WordPress 6.7, I’ve noticed that plugins not hosted on www.ads-software.com are not translating correctly and are instead displaying only in English. I’ve tried using load_plugin_textdomain()
with both the init
and plugins_loaded
hooks, but the translations are still not being applied.
load_plugin_textdomain()
function returns true when logged..po
and .mo
files are correctly formatted and placed in the plugin’s languages
directory.Despite this, the translations are still not being applied, and everything falls back to English.
Am I missing something here? Is there a specific issue with WordPress 6.7 and plugin translations for plugins not hosted on www.ads-software.com? What steps can I take to resolve this?
Thank you in advance!

Reliable operation after proper installation and configuration. I do not need to worry about it, or babysit my backup strategy.
The other thing is reliable and trustworthy advice. I always read my email from the creators of Updraft and I challenge you to point to a better source of news and advice about cybersecurity with WordPress in general.
]]>I hope you’re all doing well. I wanted to bring up an issue I’m encountering on my website, specifically related to the Jobs plugin and TranslatePress translation plugin.
I’m using the Jobs plugin to manage job listings and application forms on my website. For translation purposes, I have integrated TranslatePress plugin to make my site accessible in multiple languages. However, I’ve noticed a significant problem when the site is viewed in a language other than English.
The Issue:
When the translation is active on the Jobs page:
When I switch back to the standard English version of the website, the Apply form works perfectly fine without any issues.
Steps to Reproduce:
You will notice that the form fields are missing.
Current Workaround:
As a temporary solution, I have disabled the translation on the Jobs page. This ensures that the Apply form works correctly, but it means that the job listings are only available in English. This is not ideal and may affect user experience, especially for non-English speaking visitors.
Request for Assistance:
Has anyone else faced a similar issue or found a workaround for this problem? Any suggestions or insights would be highly appreciated. I’m looking forward to a solution that ensures the Apply form works seamlessly across all translated versions of the site.
Thank you in advance for your help and support.
Best regards,

]]>I’m always very careful with client websites and never normally have auto updates for plugins activated. I manually update them together, then at least I know which plugin breaks a site if it happens.
Same for WordPress version updates.
What are your thoughts and what do most people do with regards to the WordPress version. Do you allow auto updates for the MINOR WordPress updates, and manually do updates for Major upgrades of wordpress ?
Normally I deactivate that also. And I’ve starting to change just to allow the MINOR updates of wordpress and leave the major updates as manual.
I usually have a plugin where I can control these updates etc.
I’m finding to manage a number of clients to updates WOrdpress & plugins manually in order to AVOID breaking a site is better than leaving auto updates for WordPress and all plugins, as this can be disastrous to a live website and then for me to figure out what updated last that caused the site to go down.
So usually I avoid this altogether.
But I’m wondering whether it is SAFE to allow Minor WordPress updates automatically OR that could still cause issues I’m wondering as well.
Anyway, look forward to knowing what others do.
I use backupbuddy for all clients anyway for backups to be done automatically.
And for large ecommerce sites, I backup the site, duplicate to a test server and updates ALL plugins & wordpress on a TEST SITE firstly.
That is usually my strategy for larger clients.
Thanks in advance.

]]>My goal is to use Jetpack to allow me to pull images into WP posts from my Google Photos account. But when I go to compose a post, and choose images, there is no reference to GP anywhere. Looking more closely at the Jetpack setup, it seems like it wants me to create a WP.com account. Since I’m self-hosted, I’ve avoided having a WP.com account, but it appears that some functionality in Jetpack is dependent on having a WP.com account.
What I can’t figure out is, do I need the WP.com account to enable GP image integration? I see a long list of features that are, and are not, dependent on the WP.com account but GP image integration is not listed for either.
My goal, initially, is to be able to use a desktop browser (chrome) to create a WP post, and then pull in images from my GP account.
Thanks for any assistance.
]]>I’m looking for a plugin that gives the functionality of the images to be shown when scrolling down on the Single Product page (similar to what Shopify does by the looks of it). Rather than the gallery on the left side on the Single Product Page.
AND on the right side I would like to have the “DESCRIPTION” and DELIVERY on the right side instead of down the bottom underneath the image as Woocommerce default adds them into the TABS area underneath the Main Image and gallery.
Basically similar to this website Single Product page functionality I would like to achieve in WordPress with various plugins that can achieve this.
https://au.gymshark.com/products/gymshark-sport-shorts-black-aw22
Click on the ARROW next to the word “DESCRIPTION” to either POPUP to show the Description …
HOW can I CHANGE the Single Product page to function nicer than the standard default please?
Does anyone use any plugins or know of good plugin that can give me these features please?
Thank you in advance.
