WordPress Pulling Wrong UTC Time, Thus Throwing Off Post Times/Dates

Hello,

It is currently 9:45PM on June 19 in New York and 1:45AM ET UTC time.

However, WordPress is saying that UTC time is 8:45PM, so when I list New York as my local time zone in settings, it incorrectly says that it’s currently 4:45PM ET. This means everything I post is being listed as coming out “four hours ago.”

I tried to bypass the issue by setting UTC+1 as my default time zone, but it doesn’t work. It’s still listing the posts as coming out early. And yet if I try to set the publish time to the “current” New York time, that doesn’t work either. It thinks the time is in the future, so it only lets me “schedule” the post.

This isn’t just affecting my site but also Google results, so I’m worried about lasting ramifications. I have not made any changes to server configuration, plugins, WordPress version, etc since yesterday (when it was working correctly).

I’ve seen some similar issues posted over the past few years, but I can’t find any resolutions on the forum. Hoping someone can help.

Server Time and WordPress time don’t match

Here’s what I’m trying to accomplish:

Display widget #1 from 10:30 Sunday morning until 09:30 Friday morning.
Display widget #2 (in it’s place) from 09:30 Friday morning to 10:30 Sunday morning.

I think I’ll have to use 4 widgets to do this by using a unique one for Friday and Sunday. So I have to be careful with the times. However, I’m getting an alert:

Server time and WordPress time are different.
Will be used the WordPress time you set in WordPress General preferences.

SERVER time:
Mon, 27 Apr 2020 18:32:29 +0000

WORDPRESS time:
Mon, 27 Apr 2020 14:32:29 -0400

here’s the thing. I checked and double checked that my server time matches my wordpress time. Could it be because I am running things through Cloudflare?

Any ideas?

WordPress return incorrect time

I have two sites running on the same server. Both have the time zone configured to London. As we are running on BST the current time is GMT + 1. One site returns the correct value for GMT and thus the correct value for local time as GMT + 1. Th eother site returns an incorrect value for GMT. It actually returns GMT+1 in General settings instead of GMT and it reurns GMT+2 for local time.

I have a small php file on each site which obtains the time correctly. Is it possible that a theme is the case as the sites use different themes or is there another possibility. Any hints are appreciated as this has been doing my head in today.

I can set the timezone to UTC or UTC+1 as appropriate but I lose the DST function.

There i am facing issue with my wordpress website. My website is showing wrong or incorrect time in all time zones in UTC or UTC +5:30.
Now Real UTC time is 12:32 PM Tuesday, 27 June 2017 but my wordpress showing UTC time as Universal time (UTC) is 2017-06-27 17:37:22 .
