The blog I use the plugin on is a sort of diary. Since I moved from country to country, I switched languages quite a few times. For many years, there was no problem with umlauts and accents (German, French, Italian), but some weeks ago — probably after a WordPress update — everything was messed up.

Since I’m too inexperienced to mumble jumble in the database, this plugin is the perfect solution for me. The umlauts and accents are displayed correctly, and I don’t have to touch any database at all.

Received a notification from The Hack Repair Guy’s Admin Login Notifier today that I had logged into a client website. That was news to me so I immediately took steps to secure the site.

While I’m not sure just how they got in, I am sure that this plugin helped prevent damage since I was able to log the malicious entity out and go to work changing all of the credentials.

Does All it Says, But Lacks Sticky Feature

It’s fully loaded and free, but it lacks an important feature, the sticky player feature. For those who don’t know what I mean, a sticky player remains resident on the bottom or as a floating modal no matter what page a visitor surfs to on the website. That missing feature is the only reason I did not give this plugin 5 stars.
