This creates a 301 redirect that provides the user with correct home page and details but with a significant page speed overhead.
How can I change addresses so that the 301 is removed, the page speed is increased and the page details supplied to user is the same and the user continues using the same URL?
Thanks in advance for your assistance

]]>In the Dashboard under Settings, I am having a problem understanding the difference between “WordPress Address(URL)” and “Site Address(URI)”.
I am running my own server with Apache using Virtual Hosts. The Virtual Host for my WordPress site has:
DocumentRoot /var/www/wordpress/html (<== index.php is here)
In the Dashboard/Settings, I have:
WordPress Address(URL) https://mysite.com (<== I want my users to type this in their browser)
Site Address(URL) https://mysite.com/wordpress/html (<== index.php is here)
Have I configured these correctly in the dashboard?
Thank you,
Joe
My blog is connected to my business page and I wanted to keep it that way, but I wanted to change the URL of the blog to the new name. I’m still a novice at wordpress and I’m completely lost. Please help!

]]>I’ve tried to migrate my new developed wordpress site (www.dev2.meditarencuernavaca.org)
I changed the URL and wordpress addresses, then I uploaded the new index.php file and changed the required code but it didn’t work!
I want to put the URL and WP addresses back, do you know from which file from cpanel?
]]>After:
I changed
– WordPress address (URL) to www.site.com/test
– Site address (URL) to www.site.com/test
– Nothing works (I can’t log in as admin etc.)
I know I was bad. But what I must change to fix it? Does anyone knows?
(I have access to all files)
I edited the URLs in WP Address and Site Address under General Settings. It was htttp://bodytoningfitness.com . I changed it to https://www.bodytoningfitness.com .
Now the server is misdirecting my request for the URL address so I’m not able to view my site. I’m afraid I don’t have a backup of my installation to restore.
Is there a file that I can edit manually and re-enter the original URL? Or will I have to re-install WP?
Thanks for any feedback or input.
