]]>I have a limited space hosting service and thousands of photos in my travel blog. I am looking for an option to handle the images with WP and MLF would facilitate the organizing. Due to storage limitations I would like to keep the actual files in a cloud service.
So the question as the topic states is can MLF work with a cloud storage plugin to manage the files with WP but store them offsite. The plugin I am contemplating to use is “WP Offload S3 Lite”.
Just FYI; I currently have the photos in Flickr and presented with a partially self-made plugin that can show a photoset as a slideshow gallery. This does not allow descriptions in photos and I am looking for a better solution to cover organization, storage and presentation.
Any tips are appreciated.
]]>We have been using WP Offload S3 for over a year with no issues at all but after updating to version 1.1 on our multisite network we have encountered a lot of problems with broken images. This seems to be specifically on the Divi theme, I have updated a lot of the images which fixes the problem to a degree but even after updating some images they break on the frontend. We don’t store any images locally so any local path will be broken but I’m unsure why the frontend image URLs aren’t being updated to the S3/Cloudfront URL.
We have contacted Elegant Themes (Divi) about this but yet to hear a reply so I thought I’d try and see if anyone could offer any advice as I’ve run out of options and we have a lot of sites with broken images.
Thanks in advance.
]]>From the PHP server error log I can see PHP Warning: fopen(https://[path to my image file on S3]): failed to open stream: HTTP wrapper does not support writeable connections in [folder path]\class-wp-image-editor.php on line 428 and WPOS3: File D:\[path to web root]\wwwroot/wp-content/uploads/https://[S3 URL]/IMG_4730-e1458760198663.jpg does not exist
My guess is that there isn’t a hook in the save part for image editor, the preview can be created on the fly, but the system is trying to save directly to the S3 url which won’t work and it instead needs to save to a temp file, then upload to S3 and clean up.
Will editing images ever be supported? Or is this a configuration issue at my end? Any help much appreciated.

]]>I installed WP Offload S3 and have the correct configuration including cloudfront. WP config code, added as well but can’t make it to work.
Whenever I upload an image directly to media library and even on posts, it doesn’t take the s3 url like on the video tutorial.
The buckets are showing up under WP Offload S3, and there doesn’t seem to have any problem on it.
I even tried to adding the s3 permission as shown here https://deliciousbrains.com/wp-offload-s3/doc/quick-start-guide/, no luck though.
Please help.
