Our rolling feed issue continues, except now it doesn’t ever switch to the rolling display. Could you perhaps add an option to limit how many blogs show at a time? Pairing that with random ordering would also meet our needs.

Is it possible to sort the list of blogs by the most recent post so the ones that have been updated most recently appear at the top and the ones that haven’t been updated in a long time are at the bottom?

works for 3.8.1 but not for WP Social Blogroll plugin widget

To make it work, go to Appearances > Widgets and locate the widget you are interested in. Copy/paste the short code that is given there into your page/post.

Works fine in WP 3.8.1

BUT — if you have the WP Social Blogroll plugin (formerly Feed Reading Blogroll), and you have opted to display the Blogger style of output, it does not render the same way as it does for the widget.

The widget displays the blog name, latest post title and how long ago it was posted.

The short code displays only the blog name.

Sigh.

In WP Social Blogroll, can I add links to the body of a post rather than in a sidebar widget? Is there a short code call I can make?

I Followed all wiki instructions but blogroll does not show posts, dates & icons

Thank you very much for your excellent (and free!) plugin wp-blogroll.

Sorry to bother you but I’m not be able to make the plugin work.

Probably it is not plugin’s problem but mine because I’m a new wordpress user and I can’t understand what i’ve done wrong.

I Followed all installation instructions, wiki instructions and support forum’s topics but my blogroll still does not showing posts, dates & icons for each blog item although i’ve follow all the steps that i read here.

I added all links feeds and i also incuded and to my theme (because i read this here in support topics)

WP Social Blogroll can't add new links

Hi, I have WP social blogroll on my blog and it has been great. However, now I want to add some more links to the list, and when I do that it stops sorting the list by most recent posts and also shows the new links at the bottom of the list with no preview of the title.

My blog is www.economiesofkale.net and, the blogroll is located in the sidebar and the new link I have added is the one to Frugal Feeding.

I have tried rebuilding the javascript file, but that didn’t work. I am also getting an error message:

JavaScript-file and content-directory are writable. This is no longer necessary. You should make the content-directory read-only (chmod 755) now for security-reasons.

This plugin requires only JavaScript-file itself to be writable.

/home/economie/public_html/wp-content/feedreading_blogroll.js

I’m a newbie so it’s probably something fairly simple – thanks in advance for your help

Hi,
I like the WP Social Blogroll very much and beleive it enhances a blogroll quite a bit. I only have one suggestion for improvement … the widget currently only shows the age of the last article in hours or days. So for example: 3 hrs ago, yesterday, 2 days ago
It however also shows things like: 14 days ago, 30 days ago, 365 days ago
Would it be possible to change that to: 2 weeks ago, 1 month ago, 1 year ago instead?

Blog Roll on Separate Page with updates?

Hi. Currently I am using WP Social Blogroll on my sidebar, but I would like to move my blogroll to a separate page.
I don’t just want a link list though, I really want to see the most current blog post from each blog similar to how WP Social Blogroll works. Is that possible?
