Get notification when form fails to send/hangs due to failed SMTP

I am looking for a way to be made aware when a CF7 form fails to send an email for something other than a form validation error. Are there any out-of-the-box solutions for this?

For example, let’s say SMTP fails for some reason, DNS gets updated without my knowledge or an external mail server (such as Postmark) reaches its monthly limit and no longer sends mail.

In these cases, the form will give an error to the user or just hang with the spinning circle. I can luckily still capture the email within CF7 Database or Flamingo plugins, but I will not be made aware that a legitimate submission has failed to be sent, since I will not get a notification via email. This means that I will not know to look in the database to capture the data unless I manually match the emails notifications with Flamingo data on a daily basis or more.

Is there a way to be notified in some way when a form fails so I can manually collect the data in Flamingo? Maybe something that will submit data into the form each day and check for an error message?

I am using Postmark and have been advised to also use WPMUdev for the testing, but I cannot see anywhere here that will allow this type of testing – just broken links and uptime.

I appreciate that this is not a CF7 error as such but would love to get anyone’s thoughts on how I can resolve this, as I have been unable to find anything online.

I have been running WordPress sites for many years now, and I always half-expect the plugins I install to be poorly documented or to have to pay for crucial feature-functions. Not so with Forminator. The developers have worked incredibly hard. The deeper I went into using this excellent plugin, the more impressed I was. I run a complicated membership-driven WordPress site with multiple forms that have to handle multiple types of users, and Forminator was able to handle everything–from field types to PayPal integration, from styling to v3 reCAPTCHA, from excellent documentation to conditional email confirmations. The one minor shortcoming is that if you change the options in, say, a radio button field, you must then manually change all other field or email conditions that are linked to it. It would be nice to have that automatically updated. But this is trivial compared to all the other splendid features Forminator has to offer. I can’t recommend it highly enough!

switching themes locks the page up.

I noticed the issue when another plugin wasn’t able to update properly using some sort of ajax for it’s update method.
