Backup to wrong folder

I had difficulty locating the backup-db folder where it was reported to be, wp-content/backup-db, but under wp-admin/backup-db. Is this intentional or accidental? The full path after the folder name is accurate as reported on the DBManager window but its actual location is under wp-admin which I find unusual. I have not had any other plugin write to that folder before. I can provide screen captures via private e-mail if you like.

Generated files (po and mo) in wrong folder

Hi,

The plugin generate file in a wrong folder.
So I have to copy .po and .mo in the correct folder with this command :

cp var/www/MYSITE/wp-content/themes/MYTHEME/includes/metaboxes/lang/fr_FR.po var/www/MYSITE/wp-content/themes/MYTHEME/languages/fr_FR.po

Files are generated in includes/metaboxes/lang
But WP use files in languages/

Do you have a solution for that ?

images loading to wrong folder and showing broken link

HI,
My images are appearing to upload, but they are showing a broken link icon once 100% complete. I have trouble-shot quite a bit, this is what I have found.
– I have deactivated all plugins and tried to upload different images- the images still appear broken.
– I found that the image is going to my old test folder. And that there is not even a folder for this month in the live site.
– My host created a folder in the live site and tried to upload- no luck. The image went to the old dev folder instead.
– I changed out the theme to the 2015, tried to upload. No luck.
– I have updated everything, plugins and wordpress files – no luck.
– I thought it was a database issue – I created a post, the post showed up. So that part of the db is doing OK.
– I went to wp-options in the DB and general settings in WP-admin, everything points to the live site as it should.

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Images upload but don't show up anywhere, not even thumbnails

NextGen Gallery 2.0.30 and NextGen PRO 1.0.6.
Wordpress 3.6.1.

Since upgrading to 2.0.30, when I upload images to a gallery, the upload page shows the correct number of images uploaded and even shows their filesize. But when I go to Manage Galleries to the actual gallery, there are now several differences from previous version of NextGen Gallery.

1) Now there is no thumbnail, just a missing image X or ? (depending on browser, happens across all).

2) There is no filename extension on the thumbnail name, e.g. no “-jpg”.

3) No filesize shown. Just x. Like this:

4) View, edit thumbnail, etc don’t work because the image does not seem to exist.

5) On actual gallery page, the just-uploaded image shows an X or ? where the thumbnail should be. Click on the X or ?, and get error: “The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later”

6) An inspection of actual files and folders on the server reveals a brand new directory inside wp-content called “gallery”, and the images I tried uploading are in that. However, this “gallery” folder is NOT the directory my galleries actually reside in. I had specified a custom path on all my galleries, which was working fine before.

So NextGen Pro/NextGen 2.0.30 is now ignoring the path that is actually specified for galleries, and just uploading images to whatever “gallery” folder it thinks should be default. Which results in the images being not visible anywhere.

Please fix this asap.

Three image links are pointing to an incorrect folder

I have three image links pointing to an incorrect folder. The path is wrong. They are pointing to the old folder that the site was built in. It had a /dev extension. When site was moved to www.markthompson.org from the www.markthompson.org/dev all moved except the header image and two footer images. I can click on the box where they should exist and I am sent to the correct page. The functionality is there but no image.

I respect all of you who are computer wizards, unfortunatly I am not. This was built for me, but the guy who did it does not know how to solve this.

Uploaded images end in wrong folder

I moved wordpress from the root directory of my webspace into the folder /news. Everything works fine, but when I upload images, they are placed into /wp-content/[…] instead of /news/wp-content/[…].
I can use the images when I write a new post, but the images won’t show up. If I move the files into the correct folder, everything works perfect again.

So how do I make the change, that uploaded images are now correctly put into /news/wp-content/[…]?

I HAVE SOLVED PROBLEM
– YOU SET UP YOUR UPLOAD FOLDER IN THE SETTINGS.

I have installed wordpress, and everything is working except of the image upload function. I get no error message or like, I have tried with “browser upload” and flash upload.

I click browse, find my image (have tried jpg, gif, png etc), I click upload. Then the page is loading, showing the text “crunching” and everything looks good. Just except of that the picture not is being uploaded in the right folder.

It is being uploaded in /wp-content/ and not /wp-content/uploads/ as it was supposed to be… How do I change this?

I have installed the 2.7 version, and afterwords tried to upgrade to 2.7.1 but it still doesn’t work…

images uploading to wrong folder

when i upload an image to a post, the image is uploaded to the folder “/wordpress/wp-content”, but in the code for the post, it is linked to “/wordpress/wp-content/png/[filename].png”.

i tried just manually changing the image source in the code to where the image uploaded to, but i get a 403 error and have to type in my ftp user name and password.

i have tried using both the flash and browser uploaders on safari and firefox, and i get the same problem all the time.

please help me with this
