Getting Wrong IP Information

I used Maxmind to get user information in contact form 7 but in every email i get same user information like below

Being blocked under wrong IP address

I am in Australia and when trying to access my website from the frontend. I get the following:

Security FireWall is activated for your IP?192.210.177.3
Blacklisted
The page was generated at Sat, 16 Mar 2024 10:24:15

The Ip shown in the message is for colocrossing.com in USA. My IP starts with 180.150. I am not using a VPN either. I have tried 3 different browsers and the same thing happens on each one.
How do I stop this happening?

i am getting fake traffic from some range of ip . which are from cloudflare vpn and i have block all this range ip . when i try to login wordfence block me and i got mail with wrong ip .

in mail i got my ip range which i have block 172.xx. but when i check my ip it start from 202 in everywhere . i dont know what is the problem with word fence . after blocking wide range ip i am currently getting fake traffic .

NGINX, Cloudflare & Wrong IP

Hi,

We have been noticing that WF is showing wrong user location since we migrated to RunCloud. On RC we are using the NGINX servers with Cloudflare Real IP configured. We tried changing the WF IP option to Cloudflare but that didnt work so we reverted to ‘recommended’ settings.

Is there any other solution on how we can fix this?

Test Showing Wrong IP Address

Hello,
I have a hosting account with static IP. When I try to connect two domains hosted under the same account using WP Remote Users Sync the test fails. This is because the IP address that comes up from the test is incorrect.

The last three digits of my IP address is .141
The last three digits of the address shown by this plugin is different and shows as .138

I have contacted the web host and they confirm my IP address as *.141. This is also confirmed by checking the websites at https://www.whatsmydns.net

Is there any way to fix this error and get WP Remote Users Sync to accept the correct domain IP address?

Activity log showing 127.0.0.1 as IP for all the users

I am using AL on a couple of websites and it shows 127.0.0.1 as IP for all the users which is incorrect. This is a loopback address if I am not wrong and it should show the correct IP for the users trying to log in or is this the IP which is by default for all the users in AL?

Site reporting own IP to Jetpack

Hi, I’ve searched for solutions, but I can’t find anything that I can do on my end.

I am locked out of my login with the following screen:
“Jetpack has locked your site’s login page.
Your IP address 108.167.164.118 has been flagged for potential security violations. You can unlock your login by sending yourself a special link via email. Learn More”

After some forum searching it seems I have the same issue as others, but I cannot see a solution.

If I go to https://whatismyipaddress.com/hostname-ip and check my website, sunriverhoney.com, I can see that it is hosted on 108.167.164.118. So the server IP is being reported to Jetpack and that is why I am locked out.

How can I get back in though!?

I have problem with [_remote_ip] – it catching SERVER IP instead of Customers IP though.

So, I receive only HOSTING/SERVER Shared IP instead receiving Cusotomers IP.

Is there any way to fix this?

Every user accessing the site has same IP address

Our site and WP login was not able to be accessed due to this error:
Your access to this site has been limited
Your access to this service has been temporarily limited. Please try again in a few minutes. (HTTP response code 503)
Reason: Blocked by Wordfence Security Network

I was able to request an email and access the site (I did this through a VPN that used this New York IP: 162.244.81.236). I did a scan (no issues), checked the options and checked for recent login attempt messages. There were several detailing this IP: 143.95.66.49; also a message that this IP had been locked out several times:
Wordfence has blocked IP address 143.95.66.49.
The reason is: “Exceeded the maximum number of page not found errors per minute for a crawler.”.
User IP: 143.95.66.49
User hostname: ip-143-95-66-49.iplocal
User location: Los Angeles, United States

However when I went to Blocked IPs that IP was not there. When I tried to manually block it I couldn’t because the error message said that 143.95.66.49 was my IP!

When I look at live traffic I can see that EVERY user for the last two hours has been coming from that IP: 143.95.66.49 which is impossible. I even left the VPN and still live traffic is saying I am coming from 143.95.66.49 however I am in Laos with IP: 103.240.243.4

To check if it was my computer my husband also logged into the site and both his login and my logout had the same (wrong) IP: 143.95.66.49

The site is https://wiglaos.org/. Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
