I am building a WordPress website on Xammp local server.

I noticed in the health check that the persistent object cache was missing.

So after some flighty research in ignorant I installed the Redi Object Cache Plugin. Now I get the following fatal error. The plugin is not showing as listed in the plugins in the dashboard settings for Plugins.

I am unable to navigate or use the dashboard. The website is finished and tomorrow I need to transfer it to a hosting service.

The error page is as follows.

I tried to download wordpress from www.ads-software.com and I see the folder in the download folder in the C drive but there is no application file .\

How do i see the WORDPRESS DASHboard to edit my website .

5.3 update crashed – can’t access WP

I’m running WP locally using XAMMP; the 5.3 upgrade crashed WP. Have I lost all the pages I created before the crash? Should I copy the files in the htdocs directory to another location and then reinstall WP?

Very Slow Localhost config (Too slow too work)

Hi,

The problem : I need t owork on a website on local, but everything i found is way too slow for me to work (it litterally kill my productivity with 30 to 1 min charging time between each actions, literraly) and then sometimes i have the message “website is facing issues” (not the exact message)

My question : Do you have a way for me to litteraly kill all the loading time and make my work sreally quickier ? Is there any soft or anyway that i can allow something like 1-3 GB memory and things like that ?

My PC : 16gb RAM / i5 7400 3.00 Ghz

Trouble with Xammp local install and Multisite

Trouble with database in local install. After attempting to install multi-site I get an error that the database tables need to be repaired.

Here is the list of errors that still need to be fixed.

What is the best way to install WordPress on Windows 10?

After upgrading to Windows 10 I installed WordPress using XAMPP. I want to upgrade WordPress to the latest version but it seems that to do this I have to uninstall XAMPP and then reinstall the latest version, losing any settings I have made. So I have two questions:
1. Is there a method of installing Apache, MySQL, PHP and then WordPress that allows for upgrading without having to reinstall everything and lose settings in PHP config files etc?
2. More generally, which is the best method of installing Apache, MySQL, PHP and WordPress on Windows 10? Install components seperately?, XAMMP?, WAMP?, MAMP?, or Microsoft’s option which uses something called WebMatrix and seems to use SQL Server (https://www.microsoft.com/web/wordpress)?

Cannot login to local host after plugin install

I have successfully loaded xammp and wordpress. I also increased the max file upload and max file post size to 1024m in PHP.ini

I then installed the Total theme and that worked fine.
I then installed some sample data which required the installation of Contact Form 7 and that was not successful. I logged out.

I then tried to login and am know receiving the error message ”
Fatal error: Cannot use $this as parameter in C:\xampp\htdocs\wordpress\wp-content\themes\Total\framework\3rd-party\contact-form-7.php on line 37″

and now cannot login in to disable this plugin.

How do I fix this?
Does this suggest an incompatible plugin or something else?

WP doesn’t work after XAMMP version upgrade

Folks,

I’ve been successfully using XAMMP and WP for a year or so now with no problem on ports 81 (Apache) and 3307 (MYSQL). A few days ago, I decided to update XAMMP as it was several versions out of date. I diligently followed the instructions online (XAMMP upgrade is not trivial) by backing up my db, the htdocs folder, etc, etc. I got no error messages on install. I then changed all my ports in the appropriate config files and restored both my db and the htdocs folder.

when I go to localhost:81, it just says “waiting for localhost:81” in the browser status bar. both apache and mysql are successfully started and show green in the XAMMP control panel. also, I can access the WP database in both HeidiSQL and Workbench and PHPMYAdmin (from XAMMP control panel).

can anyone give me some guidance on how to diagnose what the problem is??

I am developing a site locally on Xampp. I have just installed clean talk and done my initial testing. It does not work on my registration form. I can register a new user using your [email protected] email address. See attached screenshots:

I need this problem fixed swiftly as I am scheduled to go live today and I have designed the site to rely on cleantalk.

Let me know what needs to be done to fix the problem.
