I’m trying to host a very basic website on my server running Xamp (Apache/2.4.58 (Win64) OpenSSL/3.1.3 PHP/8.2.12). The wordpress installation worked without issues, the access to my MySQL database also works without issues. Even creating elements on my page, saving them and previewing the sites works without any issues.
However the published sites do not show up when accessing the site from the outside, all im getting is the Xamp landing page.. no matter what I do. I suspect I made an error setting the whole thing up but don’t understand where, can anyone help?

]]>I’ve set my mind weeks ago to get acquainted with WordPress. Here’s (or in a way, was) the thing…
I had no issues configuring a local install (I’m not a total newbie). So, I’ve been playing around in wordpress with themes, plugins, custom css, etc.. trying some cool things. But after quitting my locally installed site and trying to get back where I was, most of the times the WP UI had disappeared for all of the different testsites I had created. There was no black bar on top, no dashboard, nothing. The sites would run and behave like I left them. But it was impossible to continue editing by the absence of the header bar (site title, customize etc,…). This occurred to me almost everytime.
After many trial and errors with different versions and reinstalls of wamp, mamp, wordpress, themes, etc… I finally found out that the wp-config.php gets somehow corrupted. Even the wp-config-sample.php is somehow affected. Anyhow, my current solution exists of deleting both wp-config files, copy the wp-config-sample.php file from a clean, unconfigured WP-folder into my local site-folder and after logging in into PHP and then into WP, I finally can continue.
I’m quite sure many folks out there must have had the same issue. Since I’m not yet so familiar with the support forum and topics, I might be looking for a solution in the wrong place or so.
For the time being, I have a temporary workaround and I finally can move on diving into WordPress. It would be very kind if someone could provide me a lasting solution.
I hope that somebidy can give me advise.
Thanks in advance,
Rob

]]>I am using XAMP, WordPress 4.2.2 and your BePro Listings plugin. No other themes or plugins.
After installing, i select activate, and address bar points to:
https://localhost/testDB/wp-admin/index.php?page=bepro-listngs-dashboard&show_wizard=1
But the page wont load. It says :
“This webpage has a redirect loop
ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS”
When i check the details of the error it says :
” The webpage at https://localhost/testDB/wp-admin/index.php?page=bepro-listngs-dashboard&show_wizard=1 has resulted in too many redirects. Clearing your cookies for this site or allowing third-party cookies may fix the problem. If not, it is possibly a server configuration issue and not a problem with your computer. “
Note: testDB is my test site which i created to test this plugin specifically, without other plugins and themes interfering.
I looked up the error on google and between the following two links, i sort of got your plugin to work, but none of the links in the test listing can be found. They all produce a ‘404 page not found’….
1)https://trustiko.com/this-webpage-has-a-redirect-loop-wordpress-fix/
2)https://trustiko.com/wordpress-permalinks-not-working-fix/
The second link states one should try edit the .htaccess file.
Any thoughts? I have tried resetting permalinks, clearing cache and cookies and editing the .htaccess file.

I have a dynamic DNS service setup (https://pstars.internetzninja.com) pointing to my router WAN IP Address. (A record)
I have edited my hosts file:
127.0.0.1 localhost pstars.internetzninja.com
I have tried a lot of different things but I am now unsure what will work in this case. I either get the XAMMP status page up OR i takes a long time to only open the site up partially. I have searched around and cannot find what works in this case. I have changed wp-config all different ways and can either get to it only locally OR only from outside my network. Any idea on how this is going to work???
