whenever i try to open my site’s sitemaps it shows the error “error on line at column 906: XML declaration allowed only at the start of the document”

i have tried checking my site’s wp-config.php and functions.php files but issue not resolved.

i also tried running a conflict checkup but it also did not work, please help me resolve this issue.

This incoherence doesn’t make sense, I went over https://yoast.com/help/my-sitemap-is-blank-what-s-wrong/, one of the advice is “you may need to add rewrite rules (htaccess, NGINX) and then clear all your cache.”

Could you please advice on which exact rewrite rules need to be added in my case to correct this prior cleaning server cache?

Please check issues with my sitemap.

Last Mod Date such as -001-11-30 01:00 +01:00 is showing up which seems wrong And Google webmaster is showing up errors for this.

What I did ?

I disbaled Sitemap, Flushed all caches and renabled sitemap as well but it did not solved the issue.

I am very new to blogging and not very technical too in terms of WordPress. However, I am on a learning spree. today just a few minutes earlier I checked that my websites’ XML sitemap is showing the wrong date. I wonder this could be a reason that my posts don’t get automatically indexed by Google after those are published. I have to use fetch as Google to request index.

I then tried using xml-sitemaps.com and was going to upload the sitemap through my ftp server but also got a generic error message trying to generate the sitemap with that tool.

I currently have a Coming Soon page setup while I work on building my WP site and I am wondering if this is causing the issues. I am really stuck at this point and would appreciate the help with getting the sitemap sorted so the site can get indexed properly.

When we tested a sample of URLs from your Sitemap, we found that some URLs redirect to other locations. We recommend that your Sitemap contain URLs that point to the final destination (the redirect target) instead of redirecting to another URL

I did have another Yoast older plugin installed, but I have deleted this and all the files, but still I receive the same message.
When I view the sitemap there is nothing on line 1, it starts on line 2.
