I am using Yet another Related Post Plugin for my website. I am using custom height and width to display related posts. But the problem is, it’s not showing proper thumbnails for some images, while WordPress Popular Post Plugin is showing the best cropped images on the website.

SO is there any way to use WPP plugin crop function or feature with YARP plugin? Or How I can crop these images without stretching these images? I don’t want them to look like dull or blur…

Reloading JS: Yet Another Related Post Plugin

I’m having a little issue trying to reload JS for the Yet Another Related Posts plugin.

Within the ajaxify-wordpress-site/js/ajaxify.js file I have added the following code just above the $body.removeClass(‘loading’); line.

scriptNode = document.createElement('script');
contentNode.appendChild(scriptNode);
scriptNode.setAttribute('src', rootUrl + 'wp-content/plugins/yet-another-related-posts-plugin/js/options.js');

scriptNode = document.createElement('script');
contentNode.appendChild(scriptNode);
scriptNode.setAttribute('src', rootUrl + 'wp-content/plugins/yet-another-related-posts-plugin/js/metabox.js');

options.js and metabox.js are the only two js files I can find for this plugin but the plugin still displays oddly when a page is loaded with ajax.

Below are links to images of how it should look and how it appears once loaded with ajax.

Any assistance on this matter would be appreciated.

YARPP Plugin not recommended for high traffic blogs

I run a high-traffic blog, and until this week I had no idea why I was getting tons of database errors and sitewide slow down of my blog. I was using YARPP version 3.0 plugin with W3 Total Cache which caused my blog to hang and crash whenever I edited a post. My visitors frequently complained about the slow loading time of the blog. I blamed my host, who blamed wordpress. I updated to the latest wordpress installation and I installed the latest YARPP plugin (3.5.1), but the problems only got worse. My blog crashed while I was attempting to post, and I received fatal Db errors. I couldn’t even get into my blog to disable the YARPP plugin, so I deleted it from the server using the ftp. Right away my blog returned to normal and I was able to post again. The YARPP plugin is not recommended for high-traffic blogs. I appreciate mitcho for his hard work on the plugin, but he should be more forthcoming about the critical database errors with larger websites.

Yet Another Related Posts Not Showing the Titles of Posts

Friends,

My name is Rosita Cortez and I need help with the plugging “Yet Another Related Post.” The plugging is installed but does not show the titles of my posts. It only shows the picture that goes with that post.

Any ideas on how to fix this? my blog is at www.rositacortez.com
