Hi
For a couple of months, I have been facing issues related to images in the media library and featured images while writing single posts. the details are:
1- Unable to see any thumbnail of all uploaded images to the media library in list format. But in grid format, all are shown.
2-While writing a new post, the featured box is showing but no featured image is shown after adding from the media library.
3-When I want to add a new image in the post, only a blank box is shown instead of that specific image.
4-In Yoast SEO box in a single post, I added a focus keyphrase but it disappeared after I published the post.
What I have done to resolve the issue:
1-activated the “Site Health” plugin and deactivated all plugins, activated the default theme, and even activate all plugins one by one, but the issues are there.
(I am using generatepress theme on my site technotrait.com
Kindly resolve the issue.

]]>I need help. My issue is that when I activate the Free Version of the Yoast plugin, some of my Amazon image links disappear and only a question mark is displayed. When I deactivate the plugin, the image links come back, and everything is displayed as usual.
I am using Siteground as my hosting provider and the GeneratePress Premium theme. Currently, I have deactivated all plugins except for Yoast SEO. Both my themes and plugins are up to date.
I hope someone can assist me with this.
Best regards, Tim
]]>Encountered an issue in my site, where I wasn’t able to access the wp-admin when I updated the Yoast SEO 20.10.0 plugin.
This is the file.
/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/src/conditionals/woocommerce-conditional.php
<?php
namespace Yoast\WP\SEO\Conditionals;
/**
* Conditional that is only met when WooCommerce is active.
*/
abstract class WooCommerce_Conditional implements Conditional {
/**
* Returns true when the WooCommerce plugin is installed and activated.
*
* @return bool true when the WooCommerce plugin is installed and activated.
*/
public function is_met() {
return \class_exists( 'WooCommerce' );
}
}
The only solution we did is to add the “abstract” above the file.
abstract
<?php
namespace Yoast\WP\SEO\Conditionals;
/**
* Conditional that is only met when WooCommerce is active.
*/
class WooCommerce_Conditional implements Conditional {
/**
* Returns true when the WooCommerce plugin is installed and activated.
*
* @return bool true when the WooCommerce plugin is installed and activated.
*/
public function is_met() {
return \class_exists( 'WooCommerce' );
}
}
But now, I just noticed that the “abstract” I added was deleted and the issue was gone. I need to know why does this type of issue happened and what causing this to occur? Is this related to the plugin update?
I hope someone can give me idea about this.
Thank you.
I just have a general question regarding the featured image and Yoast SEO Plugin on wordpress. It is my understanding that even if a featured image is set for each post in the yoast side tool bar, it is still up to google whether or not they are going to display it. I’m asking this question because I have a few of my blog posts come up on google and even though a featured image has been set for the post, it does not display in google web search on desktop.
However, if I use the google preview tool in yoast before publishing the post, I am able to see that the mobile results preview display the featured image yet the desktop preview does not. This is the case for all of my posts. Does that mean there is something wrong with the yoast plugin when it comes to displaying a featured image on a desktop search result since it is not even displayed in the preview? or does the google desktop preview in yoast never display a featured image?
Thanks,
