This error made the entire website inaccessible. I’m pretty sure it’s the Yoast plugin because once I deactivated it, the site was able to load as normal.
I’m guessing there’s a conflict somewhere. I’ve removed the plugin for now, but do hope the specific problem is identified and there’s another update.
If you insist that it’s not the Yoast plugin, I guess I’ll look elsewhere for what could have suddenly caused this issue. However, I am a News SEO user so some good advice would be helpful.
Thank you.
]]>we’ve been experiencing problems since the last Yoast update. It slowed down the entire front-end site and admin as it was spamming our log files constantly with errors.
The main error we get is that the column target_indexable_id cannot be found in the table wp_yoast_seo_links.
I have tried removing Yoast completely, including the tables in the database and setting the yoast_migrations_free option to empty and then reinstalling, but the same issue occurs.
PHP Version 7.2.33
Wordpress version 5.5.1
Fresh Yoast install, latest version
What else can you recommend?
Thank you in advance,
Andy
1. Pages on our site took ages to partially load
2. When partially loaded, all that appeared was a column of text on the LHS that was a list of the headings- no text, no images.
Did a restore form last nights backup and it worked OK. So this is purely a Yoast issue as no other changes were made.

]]>Slow WordPress Admin Panel (Dashboard) after Yoast update Version 9.6.
Kindly Check.
Thanks.
To clarify, after downloading the new Yoast update, I lost all Yoast functionality. the updated plugin box on the admin page shows three Icons (street light, settings gear, and a share icon), but there is nothing next to them, and clicking on them does nothing.
I have over 1200 articles, many of them are designed for SEO. I’m concerned that deleting the plugin would remove meta data that help with the search, which terrifies me.
Please advise!
(And yes, I have cleared the cache)
