Upgraded to 1.5. Fixed most bugs (e.g. had to replace index.php and delete wp-comments.php) so posts and comments would show properly and themes would work.

However, now when a comment is added, a blank page appears after “submit comment” button is clicked.

    Thanks,

    Stephen

Do you have any active plugins?

    Yes.

    Admin Bar Plugin
    Auto-Close Comments
    CG-Amazon
    CG-Referer
    End of Article
    Search Hilite
    Image Browser
    Kitten’s Spaminator
    Kitten’s Spam Words
    Previous Posts
    Witty Text

I deactivated all before I upgraded. These seem to work unless they are causing the blank page problem at:

    I just turned off:
    Auto-Close Comments Plugin

and it seems to be the fix.

That would be it. Auto-Close Comments is not compatible with WordPress v1.5.

On this error, the posts actually work (as you can now see on the site), you just don’t see the response page.

I had a similar problem recently of not knowing the comments had worked when posting to some other WordPress sites. Must have been the 1.5 upgrade and this or another plugin.

    Thanks. I’m removing AUto-Close.

Generally it’s either this or the Stopgap plugin. Both are not compatible with v1.5 and both display a blank wp-comments-post.php page.
