@janussie – How are you trying to choose the display type? Are yo using the IGW (“green button”) in the TinyMCE editor’s visual tab?

@ Cais: Yes, indeed….using the “green button”.
In version 2.1.0 it is okay, but in newer versions not there and then I mean the possibility to choose the display type ?

Did not install any other Plugin and have try to get it work by deactivation 2 other Plugins. Did not work !

@janussie – Did you try deactivating *ALL* plugins then only re-activating NextGEN Gallery to see if that helps?

@ Cais: I have only 2 other Plugins and did already deactivate these, without succes !

I hope you have a solution ?? greetings, Janussie

@janussie – Have you tried temporarily switching to a default WordPress Twenty series theme?

@ Cais: I use the Twenty Thirteen theme !!!

Is there a possibility to install version 2.1.0. and LOCK this version ? As with that version there is no problem !

Thank you for your help. Janussie

@janussie – You are free to install whichever version you choose but it is always recommended to stay current as that would be the place where the most correct code would be implemented.

If you want to short-circuit the update process, then you can edit any plugin’s version to be extremely higher than the plugin current uses and WordPress will believe you have a more current version installed and therefore will not try to update the existing code.

@ Cain: Sorry, not so good with computers. Please can you innform me where and how ? Thank you for your help !!! greetings, Janussie

P.S. When there is a next update…. then I will try again, if that version will work for me ! I had like to use now the newest version,,, but have you a solution ?

@janussie – Although this is an older article the principle of rolling back to a previous version of NextGEN Gallery still holds: https://www.nextgen-gallery.com/how-to-rollback-a-version/

    Thanks!

@ Cais: Okay, that is clear. But before I do that. I wish to know if that version (2.1.0) will not be updated automatically ? Janussie

    (@janussie)

@ Cais: Otherwise…..it has no sense ! Thank you for all your help !

@ Cais: Did follow the instruction for a rollback to version 2.1.0
I see now version 2.1.0, but…… still the same error ??

I wished to attach a screen-image of the result, but…can’t find how to do that here ?

@janussie – Given that rolling back made no difference I would suggest going back to the current release of NextGEN Gallery. As it is, there is no automatic update set via NextGEN Gallery although your web host or some other plugin (or your theme?!) may have turned on that WordPress function.

Also to note, I would strongly recommend changing your WordPress Permalinks to something other than the “Default” as some web hosts cannot display NextGEN Gallery correctly when using the “Default” permalinks.

    Thanks!
