• Howdy folks!

We’re happy to announce that The Events Calendar 4.5.2 officially released just moments ago. This is a maintenance release, which is a fancy way of saying we squashed a lot of bugs, including some high priority ones we know many of you will appreciate.

So, what’s new in this release? Glad you asked, because I was getting to the change log:

    • Fix — Correct REST API reference URL (our thanks to Lindsey for flagging this)
    • Fix — Improve Event Aggregator integration to avoid situations where imports continually restart but do not complete.
    • Tweak — Make the inclusion or exclusion of the year (within the event schedule string) filterable
    • Tweak — Further adjustments to plugin licensing code

Next up, we’re making progress on the next major feature release for The Events Calendar and can’t wait to get that out to you. In the meantime, please update safely as you would with any other WordPress, theme or plugin update and be sure to let us know if you run into any other issues.

We have a Known Issues page for you to reference so you can see what’s already on our radar for a fix.

    Happy calendaring, everyone!

Hi everyone! Adding to the above, there was unfortunately potential for an error to occur for those whose hosting environments utilize older versions of PHP. In light of that, we followed up with a hotfix (4.5.2.1) which is now available.

We updated to the latest version of the plugin but it broken the widgets in that you cannot edit them. Any suggestions? We are running the Genesis theme but I also tried twenty-fifteen and deactivated all plugins. We are using wordpress 4.7.5

Really sorry to hear that, @patparker100yahoocom: I can’t immediately think of any reasons that problem would have been triggered. Would you mind creating a new topic of your own? One of the team will then be only too happy to help ??
