?? The Events Calendar Release: The Events Calendar 4.5.4

  • Howdy folks!

    We’re happy to announce that The Events Calendar 4.5.4 officially released just moments ago. This is a feature release, which is a fancy way of saying we added some new functionality.

    So, what’s new in this release? Glad you asked, because I was getting to the change log:

    • Tweak — Minor tweaks to the CSS for linked post types (Organizer/Venues)
    • Fix — Prevent drag and drop icon showing when singular linked post type is been displayed
    • Language — 2 new strings added, 156 updated, 0 fuzzied, and 4 obsoleted [the-events-calendar]
    • Language — 4 new strings added, 20 updated, 1 fuzzied, and 0 obsoleted [tribe-common]

    Next up, we’re making progress on the next major feature release for The Events Calendar and can’t wait to get that out to you. In the meantime, please update safely as you would with any other WordPress, theme or plugin update and be sure to let us know if you run into any other issues.

  • Hi.

    The 4.5.4 update breaks my dashboard in controlpanel – As soon as I disable TheEventsCalender again, the dashboard works again. and re enabling the plugin crashes it.

    Unfortunately my last reply didn’t seem to “stick” (perhaps it was caught in spam or didn’t actually go through). In any case: we’d be happy to help, but can you post this in a fresh topic instead of adding to this sticky post?

    If you could also provide some extra information, it would be appreciated:

    • If you deactivate all other plugins and switch to a default theme (ie, Twenty Seventeen) then activate The Events Calendar, does it work as expected?
    • Could you enable WP_DEBUG then trigger the error – and let us know what if any error messages you see?
