    Hello,

    We had a user get through the checkout and their credit card CVC failed. Here’s a breakdown what happened:

    • User provided 100% off coupon code
    • User selects subscription for $5,200.00
    • User goes to checkout & inputs coupon code
    • User inputs checkout fields and credit card
    • User gets through checkout somehow – but Woo marks it failed
    • I assume Stripe did not process a charge immediately
    • Stripe does not list a credit card under customer profile
    • Under customer logs, 402 errors shows the CVC was incorrect
    • Appears Stripe tried to pre-authorize the card after checkout?

    I think there’s a loophole here if the total is $0.00 – the user can get through the checkout regardless. We use the WooCommerce Memberships plugin as well, so this User did not get access to a Membership as intended.

    Perhaps the site should not be providing 100% coupons at all? Why didn’t the checkout prompt the CVC was wrong?
