    Hi – I’ve just updated to the new version of Event List, and the main menu item vanished. Neither I nor my clients could get to Event List within the WP interface. Have reverted to the previous version for the moment.

    Hello, what PHP versions do you use?

    Same problem with resulting HTTP 500 error. I updated to Event List 0.8.0 and have now been unable to access anything on my domain/wp-admin/ folder. HTTP 500 error. Thus I cannot even access my Dashboard to revert to your previous plugin. This problem now exists on two separate sites that I updated the plugin on: https://www.acghs.org and https://www.virginiabordercollieassociation.com

    Please assist — specifically how do I back out of the update if I cannot access my Dashboard.

    Both sites are hosted on Bluehost.com

    Bluehost was able to disable Event List 0.8.0. How do I revert to ver. 0.7.12? Or do I have to uninstall and then re-install (in which case will I lose all my events from the db)?

    @vsimons, How did you roll the plugin back to the previous working version?

    @mibuthu – I’m on PHP 7.1.

    @dave333 – I keep regular backups via ManageWP. ??

    I think there are 2 different issues here:

    @rumseydog – The HTTP 500 error is also described in here.

    @vismons – You problem must be different.
    Can you describe your problems in detail:
    Does your site frontpages and admin pages work as expected?
    Do you mean the “main menu item” in the admin menu?
    What about the frontpage? Does the shortcode or widget still work?

    Hi @mibuthu – To be honest, because I rolled back my site to use the previous version of the plugin, I can’t check again what happened. But from what I recall, the plugin update seemed to go fine, and the rest of the site was all present and correct. But yes, the main menu item in the admin menu completely disappeared and I couldn’t get to it.

    Is there an older version of the plugin available for download somewhere?

    Thanks @vsimons I’ve found an older copy of the plugin in an old backup. ??

    @vsimons – Sorry, but I cannot reproduce your problem.
    I will release a new version with many fixes today probably these also help with your problem.
    If not we have to investigate in more detail.
