Do not hesitate to revert back to 0.8.5 if necessary:

I appreciate anyone willing to help me determine what failed where.

Things to try if you’re experiencing issues:

    • Refresh your permalinks. Don’t need to change them, just visit the page and let the permalinks refresh.
    • Edit a post type or taxonomy and just hit “Edit” without changing settings. If that succeeds, try with others.

I refreshed my permalinks and everything is fine.

Refreshing permalinks DID NOT work for me. I had do downgrade then refresh permalinks. I am not exactly sure what is going. I also use Custom Post Type Permalinks and I thought that was the issue but apparently not. I think it is reasonable to wait until the next update.

For those paying attention, 0.9.5 is essentially 0.8.5, I “moved forward” to go back until I can get reported bugs figured out and properly fixed, with what will be end up being version 1.0.0.

I appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation.

If anyone wants to help figure setting issues out, please email me the values from your cptui_post_types and cptui_taxonomies options in the wp_options table. michael @ webdevstudios.com. It’ll help me debug what’s going on.

Thanks for the “update.” I was having a meeting with a client today to show them how to use their website. When I went to show them how to add a new post (based on a custom post type), I realized the display of the post was broken on the front end! D’oh! I had JUST updated to 0.9.0. I updated to 0.9.5 and it’s back to working again.

    Thanks!

thank you for the understanding Mattaton. Hopefully you caught this in time and BEFORE the client meeting. My apologies if not.

It was during…but no big deal. They’re friends of mine! ??
I was just able to give them the good news that it’s working now. So, all is well.

Sending you my settings from wp_options.

Thanks for the quick turn around for 0.95. I was in the same situation as Mattaton. I don’t use taxonomies with the two sites that had the issue. I was just using categories and the way my loop was setup just took me back to the homepage.

rewrite issues from what I’ve managed to determine thus far. I’ll be working on the reported bugs throughout the week.

Hi, Michael, thank you very much for this great plugin.

I’ve just updated to version 1.0 and it seems the “menu_position” is not working. I’ve set it to 5 but it still shows below the Comment item. Could you please check it when you have a time?

    thanks!

    S. Padilha, already noted and will be fixed in 1.0.1 which I’m aiming for either tonight or early tomorrow. (It’s 8pm for me right now for reference).

No rush, it’s still working fine. Thanks mate!

marking resolved. If there is anyone with lingering issues still, with their plugin updated to 1.0.6, please start a new thread and we’ll take care of you there.
