0.9.3 S3 hostname problem

upgraded WP to 3,6 and W3 to 0.9.3 and now my previously working S3 CDN wont work.
When I click the test S3 upload button I get an error: “Error: Empty hostname / CNAME list.”, however the hostname is not empty
