1.17.01 Issue Temp Fix

    as some others I faced severe issues after upgrade to 1.17.01 which resulted even in a block of login (which makes it a bit difficult to fix the issue).
    This might help one or the other to role back to a stable version in case you cannot login anymore:

    – Access your webspace via FTP (credentials by your hoster)
    – navigate to /wp-content/plugins/wp-gpx-maps
    – rename the folder (e.g. attach _old)
    – now login should work again
    – go to https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-gpx-maps/advanced/ and download the zip of the prev version 1.17.0
    – install “old” version via uploading the zip in plugin installation.
    – DO NOT update to 1.17.1 (unless you want to excercise again).
    – you should have now two wp-gpx plugins in WP. IMO the old one can be deleted (not sure).

  • I did that.

    It works perfectly the 1.17.01 until you will log out, then you cannot log in, meanwile the site works.

    The solution, as you said, is replace the folder by the old release that works, the 1.17.0

    I really like that plug in, so I’m going to wait to get a new update more stable.
