It sounds like you are using the LTI Platform plugin for WordPress (see https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/lti-platform/) rather than the LTI Tool plugin whose support forum you have posted to. Is that correct?

If so, check that your WordPress instance is visible to the tool so it can access your public key. Your log files suggest that an initiate login request was sent and an authentication request was received but no LTI message sent in return. Are there any PHP errors in the PHP log file for your WordPress instance? What version of PHP, the plugin, and the celLTIc library plugin are you using?

Thanks for the reply, yes I am using the platform rather than the tool plugin so this is indeed the wrong forum. I think my problem may be the same as one noted in GitHub with Moodle – https://github.com/celtic-project/wordpress-lti-platform/issues/5#issuecomment-1761423395 – the generated URL is invalid at the tool side. I’ll try to fix this up and see if that solves it.

It works once I fixed the URL. I had another issue with deep linking, but I’ll take that to github.
