• Can I give one temporary login link to more than one person? Can I give it to 100 or more people?

I’m trying to let 100-200 people access a page for a 3-day period (for a nonprofit event), and I want to avoid passwords and password reset emails. This plugin looks perfect! But my use-case would be sending ONE link in a broadcast to all registrants. Would multiple people using the one link at the same time cause a problem?

    Thank you

    Hi @lbdesign ,

You can create a login with a general email and share it to n number of people but as such we have not tested with this many number of people at once as the general use case of this plugin is to provide the login to an individual or a small team.

So could you please share what would be the role of those 100-200 people and what exactly they would do after accessing the page?

Based on that, we will be able to analyze and let you know the pros/cons of doing this.
    Thank You!

Thank you Asmi. This use-case is for a nonprofit’s online conference. It lasts 3 days, around the clock. There will be about 180 participants that will want to receive zoom info and see the conference schedule. My hope is to make a simple informational page with the zoom links and schedule on it. That’s all they need to access.

My challenge is that this audience is all behind educational firewalls and many of them don’t receive regular password reset emails or broadcast emails. In the past we used systems such as WishList Member and everyone got their own participant login account. This was a nightmare, as most would only access it at the last minute, all would use the password reset feature, and almost none would receive it. So I want a minimal solution that requires no individual passwords, no password resets, and that makes supporting the participants as easy as possible.

Asmi, are you able to provide any further details about whether this would work for ~180 people on one email?

    Hi,
I have the same challenge. I had an event with 4000 people and it crashed the website. I think it’s wp database memory related : giving more power for theses days is key. I had the same idea to use this plugin but the database will be as well a key factor.
