100% transparent multisite on multi domains?
-
Hi!
I use everyday WordPress Multisite in subfolders locally for theme and plugin development and everything works just fine.
As I like the way Multisite allows to jump from one site to another I decided to aggregate some of my personnal websites into a single online multisite WordPress install, in subfolders. I also installed the domain mapping plugin to allow access to those sites from different domains.
Let’s call the main site main.com, and a single subsite secondary.com.
Everything went just fine, I’ve got no 404 problems, on https://secondary.com I see the secondary site, on https://main.com, the main one, but I see that all the links of the secondary site look like https://main.com/secondary/link.
I would really like them to look just like https://secondary.com/link
Here comes my question: i tried some config combinaisons for the domain mapping plugin and none allowed me to 100% get rid of ‘main.com’ in the links of secondary sites: is it in any way possible?
Right now I have ticked in domain mapping plugin options:
– Permanent redirect (better for your blogger’s pagerank)
– Disable primary domain check. Sites will not redirect to one domain name. May cause duplicate content issues.Other options are unticked.
WP version: 3.8.1
