    I installed InstantWP 4.3 – Windows 7 in the following location – D:\INSTANTWP\InstantWP_4.3

Everything was working fine with default passwords. I then opened up MySQL Admin and changed the password. Now unable to connect to database and launch website. How do I reset user & password back to default.
ie user = root with no password

  • You need to either change the password in the config.php file to match what you changed it to in MySQL admin, or change the password in MySQL admin back to what it is in the config.php file.

I think I really messed up here. Additionally when I changed the password in MySQL Admin – I clicked the Hash Generator 4.1. and clicked ok. Straight away it took me to the login page – I entered the new password which is [ @secret! ] and received the #1045 error. – so I had a look at the config.inc.php – just confused me more. See below…my sql skills = zero. Is their no option from command line to reset?
