• Most of you all have problem with Owen’s Adhesive plugin. I have thus modified it to become my new plugin called WP-Sticky. It is almost the exact same plugin as adhesive. I am going to add in more features in May 2007 when I am having my summer holidays.

I tested with WordPress 2.1.1 and PHP 5.20 With MYSQL 5

You can configure the options in ‘WP-Admin -> Options -> Sticky’

There is a readme.html inside the zip file

    Download WP-Sticky 1.00 Beta.

Need support, post it in here, WP-Sticky Support Forums

  • Lester,

After writing to you about the current state of the Sticky
Post Plugin and the fact that Adhesive was causing serious problems for All of Us WordPress 2.1+ PHP 5 Users, I never though you would Crank A Brand New Plugin out as fast as you have…

You Are certainly a master at your game when it comes to plugins!

I’ve sent you PayPal Donations in the past for your custom help with certain plugins and for the very plugins you have and will Continue to support you in your efforts, expecially with this New “Sticky” Plugin.

I think I can speak for a large portion of prior Adhesive Plugin Users, I Can’t thank you enough for coming up with your own version which is WP 2.1+ and PHP 5+ Compatible.

    Thanks so much,

    Best Regards,

Thanks ?? I hope this plugin gets publicised soon. I never got a chance to use Adhesive before everything went down and its good to know there is still a good ‘alternative’ for the 2.1 series.

With 2.0.7, in the options page, it doesn’t save the “Category only” option. It sticks to No. Same with “Display date”, but “date banner” is OK.
However, if I replace a Yes-No menu by a checkbox, it works.
Erase lines 201 to 204 and replace them with this line:
    <input type=\"checkbox\" name=\"display_date\" value=\"1\" <?php if($sticky_options['display_date']) echo 'checked=\"checked\"'; ?>/>

Delete lines 191 to 194, and replace them with this line:
    <input type=\"checkbox\" name=\"category_only\" value=\"1\" <?php if($sticky_options['category_only']) echo 'checked=\"checked\"'; ?>/>

rmpmw: Thanks so much for the compliments.

mosey: It WP-Sticky is still actually adhesive, after my holidays, I am going to add more features in

PozHonks: It is a typo error, I will update the zip. The drop down still works, because I use name instead of value.

EDIT: I have edited the zip file to fix the bug reported by PozHonks, and I added a pot file to it so translating it can be easier.

GameZ, Thanks for the nice plugin.

    no problem Rok

Hi there. This is a nice plugin, but it appears to have the same cut off footer bug that Adhesive 3.2 has.

When I activate the plugin, the link for older posts that is on the bottom of the page disappears.

I have released Beta 2. It is a rewrite of the code so it is now a true wp-sticky plugin because it is not based on adhesive anymore.
