11. December update brakes site

Hi,

i totally agree. Recaptcha was not displaying in none of my sites updated to version 1.21 and i had to fallback to previous backup…

Could you please provide an update or workaround?

No, actually to one of my sites the updated plugin works and to another site is does not.

The issue is that it does not appear to login page after updating to v1.21 (wp 4.4) and as a result the login fails.

The function filter_var() is in the PHP version 5.2.0 and higher (https://www.php.net/manual/en/function.filter-var.php). It seems like your site is located on the server which uses older PHP version. According to the WordPress requirements (https://www.ads-software.com/about/requirements/), we support our plugins operability from PHP v5.2.4 and higher, so we can’t guarantee a correct work for earlier PHP versions. We will consider the possibility of this function replacing, and if we deem it necessary, we’ll add changes in the nearest plugin update.

Now, you can solve this problem in the following way:
1) Contact your hosting company asking to update the PHP version
OR
2) Use the previous plugin version https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/google-captcha.1.20.zip (until we release an update).
