Need To Disable wp_new_user_notification function (help!)

    How can i safely disable the wp_new_user_notification function?
    We do not need this function and any help bypassing/removing it would be appreciated.

  • Modifying core files is not recommended but you could try using something like WinGrep to find what script file contains that function and then comment it out.

    Two things–make backup before starting and once you change the code, test it out.

    Also remember that you will need to make that change when you do upgrades in the future.

    that did the trick – was just able to test it. (we imported 1253 users… just didn’t want to spam them)
