1.1.9 breaks "from:" for Gmail

The inbox in Gmail shows the name of the person sending the mail to the left, then the subject and a short preview of the contents.
Updating to 1.1.9 breaks something, as Gmail now shows “me” instead of the senders name. Using contact form 7, no changes in the form or syntax used, [name] <[mail]>. If I open the mail, the correct name and email is showing, it’s only in the inbox view it fails.
Have tried and verified, reverting to 1.1.8 makes it look as it should in Gmail again, the senders name derived from [name] shows in the inbox.
