13.8 update produces fatal error
-
30 hours ago we received a notice to update Jetpack, which we have used for 10 years, to version 13.8. Doing so produced a “fatal error” message and caused us to lose all Jetpack functions. Trying to deactivate or delete Jetpack 13.8 also brought a fatal error message. Jetpack Support sent us a ticket number but no help. WordPress sent this error message, but we have no idea what to do about it, & clicking the links brings a 403 error message: An error of type E_COMPILE_ERROR was caused in line 12 of the file /home/customer/www/animals24-7.org/public_html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/vendor/autoload_packages.php. Error message: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/home/customer/www/animals24-7.org/public_html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/vendor/jetpack-autoloader/class-autoloader.php’(include_path=’.:/usr/local/php74/pear’)
