13 Mar 2024 update breaks Pods blocks

    Today’s update breaks blocks for the Pods plugin (Custom Content Types and Fields).

    If I create a new page and attempt to add a Pods Form or Pods Item List block, the block reads “This block has encountered an error and cannot be previewed.” None of the fields on the sidebar can be set (not visible).

    After deactivating Widget Options, the Pods blocks work as expected. Can you tell me how to roll back the update to the prior version?

    I forgot to mention, I was also able to use the Pods blocks yesterday, with Widget Options activated, before it was automatically updated today on my site.

    I tried disabling “Gutenberg Page & Post Block Options”, but that had no effect.

    Hi @hrsms,

    We are sorry for taking too long to give you an update. We tried replicating this issue on our end and it seems there is a compatibility issue with Widget Options on all of the Pods blocks. We have now relayed this issue on our developer and we will give you an update once fixed.

    Hi @hrsms,

    We recently released a newer version. Have you tried updating Widget Options to v4.0.5.1? We suggest updating to the latest version and please let us know how it goes.
