Categories don’t work after upgrading

  • When I click on my categories, I get an error message telling me nothing can be found in that category. Here’s what happened recently:

    I recently switched web hosts, so I exported my WP database for one of my blogs. I installed the latest version of WP, but since my old blog wasn’t that version I figured I should start again, so I installed 2.2, then upgraded to 2.2.2. Then I re-imported my content.

    I did hand select the tables in my original export so it’s possible I may have overlooked some important information, just not sure what.

    Since I’ve got my new blog up and running I have added a couple of more posts, just so you know and in case re-importing is suggested.

    I could really use some help with this. Even though my categories show the number of posts for each category, the page you get when you click on the category doesn’t show the posts.

    So I started reassigning categories to my posts, but quickly noticed that it doesn’t make any difference.

    I’m at a loss as to what to do. Any advice is very much appreciated.
