1.5 templates

    Ok, before I do it, I want to verify. Will any of the 1.2 templates work with 1.5? and, do you just rename wp-layout.css to style.css?

  • Yes, but they’ll need some work. I would use a 1.5 template and slowly work on the 1.2 stuff

    Ok, thanks podz, I’ll hold off. In fact, I didn’t know there were templates for 1.5, I’m so new to it.

    I know you probably can’t give an exact date, but do you know if the alpha version of WP1.5 will be out in about…2 weeks? 2 months? I’m asking because I need to have a new website template ready in 4 weeks, and if there’s a good chance that I could use 1.5 with it, I’ll wait a couple of weeks or so. If 1.5 is much further down the road, I won’t wait.

    Nobody (except the core developers) knows when it’s gonna be released. But I, personally, will suggest you use WP1.5. Just grab the gamma version, I suppose the upgrade to full version later will be a breeze.
