1.5.2 Can’t Get Trackback to Work

  • Hi,
    I’m pretty new to this ‘blogging’ thing. I managed to get wordpress installed and added some plugins and themes successfully. Even got the permalink stuff to work.

    I can’t seem to get trackbacks to work. I wrote a blog entry and linked to another blog’s article, and also included the trackback URI in my ‘write’ page. The db does show that the trackback has been pinged. Others are able to trackback to my site.

    What to I need to do/configure to be able to leave trackback comments to my site, on others site?

    Yes. The other site started a test entry for me at https://www.makeyougohmm.com/20050830/2313/

    Did you put that in the Trackback box ?

    Yes. I was wondering if it was some kind of setting or something. I even reinstalled WP… that was a pain being unfamiliar with databases ??
