• Hi,
I have been trying to solve this problem for awhile with no luck.

I am using the 15zine theme that wishes to use this plugin (Login with Ajax). It does not seem to be working right. It gives me the error of: An error has occurred. Please try again. I have read that it might be my hosting server’s mod_security, which I thought I had them edit. I have asked them again to see what the issue is. I also have read that Wordfence Security plugin maybe an issue so I deleted that plugin. I have no other plugin I know of that should be effecting it.

I have also contacted Cubell Themes and they don’t seem to know what to do or can fix it.

If there are any thoughts or recommendations that would be very helpful.
    Thanks.

This is the error returned in the ajax call :

<html><head><title>Error 406 - Not Acceptable</title><head><body><h1>Error 406 - Not Acceptable</h1><p>Generally a 406 error is caused because a request has been blocked by Mod Security. If you believe that your request has been blocked by mistake please contact the web site owner.</p></body></html>

I’m also using 15Zine theme getting the exact problem, theme owners didn’t have any idea and still not able to resolve this issue, can you please tell me a solution for the error.

    Thanks in advance.

If it’s the same issue as above, it’s related to a security plugin or your server/host security/firewall settings. I can take a look and confirm if you’re not sure, I need a url with the login form.

I haven’t added any security plugin and I tried by disabling all plugins but not worked, here is the link: https://www.scarlettacademy.com/community/
Please look into it and give me a solution ??

in that case contact your hosts, it’s likely a mod security rule they added preventing wp-admin/admin-ajax.php from being accessed.

Can you please tell me what exactly I’ve to ask to the hosting support?

Resolved: It was an Mod security feature enabled from hosting providers and now everything is working. ??

    Great, thanks for the update.
