[Plugin: Simple Tags] ST doesn’t work in write post page

I have the same problem using WP 2.5. Clicking on any of the links in “Suggested Tags From:” either opens or closes the Write Page option box but never activates the link. This was also true in 1.5.1 on WP 2.5

Prior to 1.5.1 on 2.5 it would activate the link but churn for several minutes without returning any results. Neither updating the options nor disabling/renabling the plugin solve this issue.

Same problem here. Nothing for me has changed except upgrading to WP 2.5 and then upgrading the plugin. The tagging option shows up if you write a page but I’m having the same problem as the others in that you can’t chose tags on the write post . Very frustrating.

I also have this problem. I upgraded from the old version of WordPress and then used WP 2.5s new feature of automatically upgrading plugins and now when I write posts and start typing in a tag name it doesn’t pop up a a list of tags I’ve previously used.

I’m still getting repeated tags, and the manage tags page is blank.

Same here. I loved Simple Tags in WP 2.33, but now that I upgraded to WP 2.5 I cannot add tags to any post! I get the “Suggested Tags From:”, but when I click on any of the links, nothing happens…

no version since 1.5 does work
a downgrade to 1.3.9 solves the problem ;(

Same Problem with Firefox 2.0.0.13 and 2.0.0.14.
Works fine with Internet Explorer .

I post an issue on the Google Code tracking system for Simple Tag but did not get any feedback.

According to the plugin directory the plugin was last updated on April 13, 2008. I’d say it’s likely still under development.

If you’re using any other plugins on your blogs –particularly plugins that alter the post page– try deactivating them to see if one of them is causing a conflict. For example, the ancient WP-Amazon plugin causes problems with Simple Tags and if both are activated then neither works.

Had the same problem, inactivating WP-Amazon fixed the problem. Have a look at
